Summary:

The Assistant Vice President of Business Development will be reporting directly to the Sr. Vice President using a fresh, modern, high-integrity approach; leveraging our current team of highly intelligent professionals that will expand and accentuate our footprint into new states.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilize prospecting activities such as cold calling and fully manage the recruitment process, identifying, sourcing, and initial presentations with target recruits and teams.
  • Utilize and maintain recruitment activity in HubSpot CRM platform and track progress and identify new prospects and recruit
  • Conduct daily and weekly calls and outreach efforts to support ongoing meeting pipeline and interviews.
  • Master all company marketing and technology tools and effectively present and demonstrate to recruiting prospects to build maximum value during the recruiting process.
  • Review weekly sales manager recruiting meeting report in target region and identify recruiting opportunities to engage with new and disengaged recruiting prospects.
  • Collaborate with SVP and region managers to promote & sell William Raveis value proposition and identify target agents to join William Raveis office.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive recruitment strategies to attract a diverse pool of qualified candidates.
  • Prospect, source and network w/ candidates through various channels, social media, networking events, and professional associations.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in recruitment and talent acquisition.
  • Utilize SVP and WRRE HQ and Executive team to support and close on top candidates.

Organization:

  • Attend company-related sales management meetings, weekly conference calls, and/or local office events as needed and communicate Company Value Proposition
  • Participate in weekly business development meetings, monthly sales meetings, planning sessions and other meetings as requested by the Company or its designated representative. Arrive on time, prepared to participate enthusiastically as part of the business development team.
  • Utilize direct mail campaigns, sales presentations, technology demonstrations, promotional items, engaging in networking events, trade shows and conferences, and client forums to increase exposure and draw in top producing sales agents to WRRE in result of given profitability and success of overall portfolio.
  • Develop process to routinely meet and communicate with Sales Managers within target region to review target markets recruiting prospects and communication strategies.
  • Establish/Maintain process to promote personal and sales manager touch points for recruits (handwritten notes, social media posting/outreach, email communication, texts, weekly attendance at broker open houses as needed).
  • Become a valued resource to local managers to ensure smooth transition and onboarding process for newly affiliated recruits.
  • Become a valued resource to Sales Managers and Senior Regional Managers upon request to present value and power of marketing and technology tools to help boost productivity of Company agents in local offices.

Qualifications & Minimum Requirements

  • Heavy telephone skills and closing skills with a proven track record prospecting, cold calling, managing a sales organization/pipeline, and skilled with research and integration.
  • Solid communication skills to handle customer service email and phone business.
  • Previous Recruiting experience required.
  • Previous Real estate experience preferred.
  • Self-motivated, driven, and persistent with the ability to exercise judgment and solve difficult problems without direct supervision to meet goals and create a positive work environment.
  • Strong critical thinking and compelling presentation skills, with the ability to influence with impact to a broad spectrum of communication and leadership styles.
  • Blend of both strategic and tactical thinking- someone who can identify and prioritize opportunities in highly ambiguous contexts, and then organize thematic work areas in deep detail, ultimately aligning long term vision with iterative execution
  • Advanced knowledge in current and future real estate industry practices, trends, technologies, and information affecting the business and organization.
  • Expertise with different sales/sourcing techniques and strategic operational pipeline management for over-achieving recruitment targets hiring agents, or general BD experience.
  • Detail oriented and punctual: Ability to multi-task and handle multiple deadlines simultaneously and prioritize multiple projects to meet shifting demands in a sales environment.
  • Must possess excellent accuracy and speed on computer - written, editing, typing, and communication skills.
  • HubSpot, Courted, and MLS platform experience a plus
  • Microsoft 365 Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point, Office 365)

  • Not a remote position. This position is full-time in office at our headquarters in Shelton, CT.
