Job Summary: Wipfli Corporate Finance Advisors, LLC is looking for a talented and highly-motivated Vice President to join its team in the Twin Cities office! WCF is the investment banking and corporate finance arm of Wipfli Advisory LLC, and offers a full suite of investment banking services tailored for middle-market companies and capital providers with a focus on sell-side M&A transactions.


Responsibilities:

  • Support investment banking team on the execution of M&A transactions.
  • Assist in preparation of confidential information memos, pitch materials, and presentations.
  • Develop and maintain complex financial models to perform various financial and valuation analyses.
  • Conduct comprehensive and in-depth company and industry research.
  • Provide mentoring to junior associates, offering guidance and support in various tasks and career goals.
  • Play a key role in supporting origination, opportunity evaluation, and deal execution.
  • Occasional travel, up to 20%.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree required with a major in business, finance, accounting, or economics preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of previous experience in investment banking.
  • SIE Exam, Series 79, and Series 63 licenses preferred, or must attain within 90 days of hire date required
  • Demonstrated ability to manage key workstreams within M&A transactions
  • Experience interacting directly with clients and supporting presentations and strategic discussions
  • Proven leadership experience, including overseeing junior team members and reviewing deliverables
  • Strong analytical and financial modeling skills, with the ability to translate insights into actionable recommendations
  • Experience contributing to business development efforts, including pitch materials or client pursuits
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple deal timelines effectively
  • Must reside in or around the Twin Cities and able to commute to the office.
  • Willing to maintain a hybrid schedule of at least 4 days in office.

The estimated base pay range for this role is $117,000-$158,000, with offers typically not made at the maximum, allowing for future salary increases. The actual salary at the time of offer depends on business related factors like location, skills, experience, training/education, licensure, certifications, business needs, current associate pay, and relevant employment laws. 

Investment Banking Associates at WCF receive a competitive base salary plus a substantial incentive component tied to successful transaction closings. Incentives are paid only when deals close, reinforcing alignment with performance.

Individuals may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, subject to participation rules and based on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual and Firm performance.
