Position Summary

The Wausau Window & Wall Systems Brand Director is responsible for the overall performance and growth of the brand, ensuring delivery of revenue, profitability, and customer satisfaction objectives. Partnering closely with the Vice President and executive team, this role drives a full-service, customer-centric business focused on delivering exceptional outcomes across the entire customer journey, from project award through execution, project completion, and long-term customer retention.

The Brand Director serves as the primary business leader responsible for aligning commercial and order and project execution functions to support profitable growth and operational excellence. This role requires extensive experience with large, complex facade projects and a deep understanding of architectural aluminum systems, project delivery processes, stakeholder management, risk mitigation, and customer experience.

The Brand Director provides direct leadership for Estimating, Client Services, Project Management, Drafting, and Order Management while collaborating closely with Sales, Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, Finance, and Manufacturing to ensure successful project execution and customer outcomes.

This role was created to lead the transformation of the Wausau Window & Wall business from a functionally managed organization to an integrated, customer-centric business with end-to-end accountability for customer experience, operational performance, and profitable growth.

Key Responsibilities

Business Leadership & Growth

  • Responsibility for P&L and the delivery of brand-level revenue, profitability, and growth targets.
    • Partner with the Vice President and executive leadership to develop and execute strategic plans that strengthen market position and drive profitable growth.
    • Align commercial and operational strategies to support customer success, growth with existing customers, and acquisition of new customers.
  • Establish and drive performance metrics related to customer satisfaction, project execution, operational efficiency, revenue, and profitability.
  • Identify and implement opportunities that improve business performance, customer value, and market position.

Customer & Standard Order/Project Delivery Leadership

  • Lead a customer-centric organization focused on delivering exceptional experiences from project award through project completion and post-project support.
  • Provide direct leadership for Estimating, Client Services, Project Management, Drafting, and Order Management.
  • Ensure successful execution of large, complex facade projects through effective project planning, risk management, resource allocation, customer communication, and cross-functional coordination.
  • Align commercial, operational, engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain functions to achieve business and customer objectives.
  • Serve as the senior executive contact for strategic customers and critical project escalations.

Talent & Organizational Leadership

  • Develop high-performing teams and future leaders through talent assessment, coaching, accountability, succession planning, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Assess organizational capabilities and talent needs to ensure the business has the leadership, technical expertise, and execution capacity required to achieve strategic and operational objectives.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, customer focus, and continuous improvement.

Transformation Leadership

  • Lead organizational transformation and cross-functional business improvement initiatives that enhance scalability, customer experience, operational effectiveness, and financial performance.
  • Build alignment across functions that have historically operated independently and establish an integrated operating model with clear ownership and accountability throughout the customer journey.
  • Simplify processes, reduce internal handoffs, and remove organizational barriers that inhibit customer outcomes and business performance.
  • Create clarity, alignment, and engagement while leading the organization through change.

  • Support delivery of annual revenue, profitability, and growth objectives for Wausau Window & Wall.
  • Improve customer satisfaction and retention throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Strengthen coordination and execution across estimating, drafting, project management, order management, and client services functions.
  • Grow market share within targeted architectural and commercial construction segments.
  • Establish Wausau Window & Wall as the industry's preferred partner for complex facade and fenestration solutions.
  • Build a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Successfully transform the organization into an integrated, scalable, customer-centric business with end-to-end ownership of the customer experience.
  • Support Architectural Metals in building a service-driven organization capable of sustainable long-term growth.

  • Knowledge and experience working in finishing and extrusion markets or related experience

Work Environment/Travel Requirements

  • Travel will be required 20%-30% to different Architectural Metals facilities and customer locations
