Vice President of Operations


Location: Remote or Miami Beach, FL

Join a growing consumer products company as its Vice President of Operations, where you'll lead Procurement, Supply Chain Planning, Logistics, Quality & Food Safety, and Research & Development. As a key member of the executive leadership team, you'll help shape strategy, drive operational excellence, strengthen organizational capabilities, and build the infrastructure needed to support the company's next phase of growth while developing high-performing teams and optimizing business performance.

Key Responsibilities


Procurement


  • Lead strategic sourcing and supplier management across ingredients, packaging, manufacturing, and logistics
  • Negotiate contracts and drive cost savings while maintaining quality and service standards
  • Develop supplier partnerships, performance metrics, and risk mitigation strategies
  • Ensure supplier compliance with food safety and regulatory requirements

Supply Chain Planning


  • Oversee supply planning, production scheduling, inventory management, and forecasting
  • Lead the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process
  • Partner with Sales to improve demand planning and forecast accuracy
  • Drive inventory optimization and key planning performance metrics

Customer Logistics & All Logistics


  • Lead inbound and outbound logistics, warehousing, transportation, and 3PL relationships
  • Ensure successful fulfillment across retail, food service, club, and e-commerce channels
  • Oversee EDI compliance, order management, and customer service performance
  • Identify logistics cost savings while maintaining strong OTIF performance

Quality, Food Safety & Research and Development


  • Provide executive oversight of quality, food safety, and regulatory compliance programs
  • Maintain key certifications and support continuous improvement initiatives
  • Lead new product development and commercialization efforts
  • Partner with Sales and Marketing to bring innovative products to market

Cross-Functional Leadership


  • Serve as a key member of the senior leadership team
  • Partner with Finance and other business leaders on planning, budgeting, and operational strategy
  • Build and develop high-performing teams
  • Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and data-driven decision-making

What We're Looking For


  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA or APICS CSCP/CPIM or equivalent certification valued
  • 15+ years of supply chain and operations leadership experience, including 5+ years in a senior leadership role (Director or above)
  • Experience within food & beverage, consumer packaged goods (CPG), or related industries; experience with natural/better-for-you brands strongly preferred
  • Proven success scaling operations in a high-growth environment
  • Strong background in procurement, supply chain planning, logistics, and inventory management
  • Experience managing multi-channel logistics across retail, Amazon/e-commerce, and foodservice channels
  • Experience overseeing third-party logistics (3PL) providers and co-manufacturing partnerships to drive operational efficiency and performance
  • Experience with quality, food safety, and product commercialization processes
  • Experience supporting product innovation, research and development, and new product launches within a CPG environment
  • Strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills

  • Base salary of $250,000 plus bonus
