Global Finishing Solutions (GFS) is seeking an accomplished Vice President of Engineering to lead one of the industry's most respected engineering organizations.


The Vice President of Engineering serves as a key member of the executive leadership team and is responsible for establishing the strategic direction of the company's engineering organization. This executive will lead multidisciplinary engineering teams while partnering closely with Operations, Sales, Product Management, Supply Chain, and executive leadership to ensure engineering capabilities support both short- and long-term business objectives. Success in this role requires balancing strategic leadership with operational execution while creating a culture of innovation, collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.

What Success Looks Like

As Vice President of Engineering, you will:

  • Develop and execute the engineering strategy aligned with the company's long-term business objectives.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop high-performing engineering leaders and technical teams.
  • Drive innovation across mechanical, structural, electrical, controls, and automation engineering.

Qualifications That Shine

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering required; MBA preferred.
  • 15+ years of progressive engineering experience with at least 12 years leading engineering organizations.
  • Demonstrated success developing engineering strategies that achieve measurable business results.
  • Executive leadership experience within manufacturing, industrial equipment, automation, engineered products, or comparable engineered-to-order environments.
  • Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary engineering organizations across mechanical, structural, electrical, and controls engineering.
  • Experience driving engineering transformation, product standardization, modular design, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of industrial controls, automation technologies, PLCs, HMI/SCADA platforms, and modern engineering practices.

Transparent Rewards

Pay Range: $202,000 – $255,000 per year, as applicable, based on your experience, skills, and qualifications.

Bonus Eligibility: This position is eligible for an annual individual incentive based on company performance. Maximum bonus amounts may vary depending on role.
