Job description

Director of Client Services# Director of Client ServicesBFC HQ - Saint Petersburg, FL 33701## Description## About MaverickMaverick exists to simplify homebuilding, specializing in insurance and warranty solutions delivered through a modern MGU model. We empower builders through advanced technology, deep industry knowledge, and a relentless focus on innovation, operational excellence, and scalable customer experiences.## SummaryWe’re seeking a Director of Client Services to lead, rebuild, and scale the service side of our insurance operation. This is a hands-on, operator-doer role — not a manage-through-layers executive seat. You’ll own the end-to-end client experience for our builder customers, build the processes, dashboards, and KPIs that make the operation run, oversee processing operations, and grow into the resident insurance authority for the organization. You’ll work in close partnership with the President, the VP of Customer Success, and the Manager of Product & Engineering. The near-term priority is clear: bring order, structure, and measurable performance to a growing operation.## Key Responsibilities**1. Own the End-to-End Client Experience*** Lead the Account Management and Client Services function across the full client lifecycle — renewals, endorsements, certificates, service requests, and day-to-day support for policyholders and builder partners.* Ensure seamless transitions from quote through binding to ongoing service, and a consistently responsive, high-quality experience.* Personally design and document the workflows, service standards, and operating procedures the team runs on.**2. Drive a Results-Oriented, High-Performance Culture*** Build *— personally —* the KPIs, dashboards, and reporting needed to manage the operation, in partnership with the VP of Customer Success.* Set clear expectations, hold the team accountable, and address performance gaps promptly.* Use data to surface bottlenecks, lift service levels, and continuously raise the bar.**3. Oversee Processing & Warranty Underwriting*** Direct the processing workflows that support both warranty and account-management activity.* Depending on final org design, this role may also own Structural Warranty underwriting (reviewing individual homes against Maverick’s standards). The strength and background of the selected candidate will determine where this scope ultimately sits.* **Note:** processing staff are a shared resource across functions — you will direct their work in coordination with other leaders rather than solely owning the headcount.**4. Build Structure & Scalable Operations*** Bring order and repeatable structure to a fast-growing operation; design processes that scale with volume and geographic expansion.* Partner with the Manager of Product & Engineering to drive automation, eliminate manual work, and streamline workflows.**5. Own Compliance & Licensing Discipline*** Ensure proper agency and producer licensing as Maverick expands into new states and geographies.* Maintain appropriate segregation of duties between licensed and unlicensed staff.* Own E&O discipline, audits, and operational compliance across the service and underwriting functions.**6. Grow into the Resident Insurance Expert*** Bring **hands-on commercial-lines experience — this is required** — along with the aptitude and ambition to become Maverick’s go-to subject-matter expert over time.* Learn from experienced leaders already in the organization; as the leader of this function, you will be expected to grow into its technical authority.* Build the coverage, product, and carrier fluency that lets a developing team get solid, reliable answers from you. Construction, builder, or contractor coverage experience is a strong plus.**7. Support Carrier Relationships & Appointments (Shared)*** Contribute to securing and maintaining carrier appointments, including the relationship-building and negotiation that the high-value ones require.* This is a shared, secondary responsibility — you will partner on it rather than own it outright.## Who You Are* **A hands-on operator and builder.** You personally design processes, build dashboards, and roll up your sleeves — this is not a seat where others do the work for you.* **Experience leading or rising toward leadership** of client service, account management, or insurance operations, with a track record of bringing structure and measurable improvement to an operation.* **Hands-on commercial-lines experience — required,** paired with the aptitude and drive to grow into the organization’s resident expert (coverages, products, carriers, licensing, compliance). Construction or builder-related coverage experience is a strong plus.* **Fluent with data and process design.** You measure what matters and manage to it.* **A strong collaborator** across technology, operations, and service functions.* **Florida 2-20 general lines license** (or the ability to obtain it promptly); CPCU, CIC, CISR, or similar designations a plus.* Bachelor’s degree preferred.## Where This Role Can GoAs the operation matures and you establish yourself as its leader and resident expert, this role is positioned to grow. Over time, it can expand into broader carrier and program responsibility — potentially including program development and the pursuit of delegated underwriting authority — as Maverick scales its capabilities. We’re hiring an operator first; the path to building programs is the upside for the person who earns it.## Why Maverick? You’ll take ownership of a technology-enabled, scalable client experience and build the operation that supports Maverick’s next phase of growth. You’ll lead an empowered team, set the standard for service and operational excellence in homebuilding insurance, and have a direct, visible impact on the business — with room to grow as the company does.## Qualifications*The preceding position description has been designed to indicate the general nature of the work performed, the level of knowledge and skills typically required, and the usual working conditions of this position. It is not designed to contain or be interpreted as a comprehensive, complete, or exclusive list of the duties of the position. Additional and different duties may be assigned from time to time. We are an E-Verify company.**Bankers Financial Corporation and its subsidiaries are Equal Opportunity Employers. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, or any other status protected by law. We are committed to providing reasonable accommodations to qualified individuals with disabilities.**Employment with Bankers Financial Corporation and its subsidiaries is at-will, meaning that either the employee or the company may terminate the employment relationship at any time, with or without cause or notice. Employment may also be contingent upon the successful completion of a background check and/or drug screening, where applicable.
