What You'll Do:
The Vice President of Strategic Partnerships & Market Development is a senior-level growth position responsible for developing and expanding National Health Care Associates' hospital, physician and strategic healthcare relationships throughout Connecticut. This is a hands-on business development role combining high-level relationship development, market intelligence and strategic execution.
The VP will work directly with hospital and health system leadership to identify unmet post-acute needs, develop new referral opportunities and strategic partnerships, and serve as a critical link between what the market needs and the clinical capabilities National develops to meet those needs. The position will work closely with Regional Operations, Business Development and Clinical leadership and will be directly accountable for measurable referral, census and premium-mix growth.
Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and grow executive-level relationships with hospitals, health systems and other strategic healthcare partners throughout Connecticut.
  • Build relationships beyond traditional case management, including hospital leadership, clinical/service-line leaders, population health leaders and other key decision-makers.
  • Identify and develop new hospital accounts, referral channels, preferred-provider opportunities, strategic partnerships and pilot programs.
  • Develop physician and physician-group relationships aligned with National's clinical programs and priority patient populations.
  • Identify difficult-to-place patient populations, referral barriers and unmet clinical needs within hospital accounts.
  • Partner with National's Clinical and Operations teams to evaluate and develop programs, pathways and capabilities that respond to identified market needs.
  • Utilize Trella Health, referral data and market intelligence to identify market share, referral leakage, physician relationships and account-growth opportunities.
  • Develop and execute strategic growth plans for priority hospitals, physicians and service lines.
  • Maintain direct ownership of key opportunities from initial development through implementation and measurable referral growth.
  • Work alongside Regional Operators and Regional Directors of Business Development to align statewide and regional growth priorities.
  • Monitor competitive activity and emerging market needs and communicate actionable opportunities to National leadership.
  • Represent National with senior hospital, physician and healthcare leadership throughout Connecticut.

If you're passionate about playing a critical role in driving revenue growth, fostering innovations, and advancing our mission of providing high-quality care to residents in need, in an environment where your expertise and dedication are valued and appreciated, we invite you to join our team as a Vice President of Strategic Partnerships & Market Development.

  • Demonstrated success developing hospital and physician relationships and generating measurable referral or revenue growth.
  • Strong understanding of the post-acute continuum, hospital discharge process and skilled nursing patient populations.
  • Ability to communicate credibly with both executive and clinical healthcare audiences.
  • Strong analytical ability with experience using healthcare market/referral data to drive account strategy.
  • Experience with Trella Health or similar healthcare market-intelligence platforms strongly preferred.
  • Strong executive presence combined with a highly proactive, hands-on approach to business development.
  • Ability to independently manage and develop a statewide Connecticut market.
