The VP - Media Strategy, is a leadership role within the Syneos Health Integrated Media Team responsible for development and implementation of omnichannel integrated pharmaceutical media campaigns. The position is responsible for planning and communicating advanced omnichannel media strategy to clients of Syneos Health. The ideal candidate will exhibit proven success managing complex multimedia campaigns within the pharma/healthcare space while exhibiting a detailed understanding of the negotiation and implementation needed to extract maximum impact from any proposed strategic approach.

This position will have a prominent client facing role and require excellent presentation and explanatory skills. The applicant will assist in the development and ensure accuracy of execution while delivering class leading programs that align and accomplish our client's goals and objectives. This position plays an important role in building trust and expertise with our clients and the ideal candidate will excel at relaying complex media topics in a way that is understandable for someone with little to no marketing and media experience.

Passion for excellent optimization is a must - the ideal candidate will relish leading our clients and recommending improvements and solutions to existing campaigns while helping to craft strategy for new initiatives. The candidate will act as the caretaker for our clients' media investments and as such will personally push to ensure maximum flexibility in how media dollars are deployed and optimized. Flawless execution is expected. The VP - Media Strategy will be responsible for growing the team and ensuring a positive proactive culture of training, onboarding, and internal advancement is in place.

The candidate should have experience in the following areas:

  • Experience: Minimum 12 years' experience leading, executing, and planning strategic integrated media campaigns.
  • Leadership: You will be expected to manage a growing global team while providing input on the optimal structure and vision for the group.
  • Strategy/Planning & Presentation Development: You will be expected to craft and lead the design of complex strategic media campaigns while communicating the approach to clients and internal stakeholders alike
  • New Business: Have experience participating in pitches for new business and understand how to operationalize complex asks during the RFP process.
  • Client Management: You should have experience interacting directly with clients, building relationships and seeing great campaigns executed and reported on flawlessly
  • Execution/Campaign & Project Management: You should have experience managing and optimizing omnichannel integrated media campaigns across all major channels, both offline and digital, with particular emphasis on seeking strategic innovation and optimizing to achieve superior performance. Heavy TV experience is required (both CTV and Linear)
  • Travel: Candidates should be free to travel as-needed to support the business
  • Additional Experience: Experience in pharma or healthcare is valuable

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $150,000 to $180,000. The base salary range represents the anticipated low and high of the Syneos Health range for this position. Actual salary will vary based on various factors such as the candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies, and proficiency for the role. In addition, some positions may include eligibility to earn commissions/bonus based on company and / or individual performance.
