This is a leadership role that will shape how we show up for fans, partners, and the broader community while driving measurable business results across matches, events, and programming at Allianz Field.
The ideal candidate is a proven marketing leader who blends creativity with commercial acumen, leads through influence, and knows how to turn brand strength into revenue growth.
Why You'll Love It Here:
At Minnesota United, our work is about more than the game. It's about creating moments that matter for our fans, our partners, and our community. As Vice President, Marketing, you'll lead a talented team and partner across the organization to grow our brand, deepen fan connection, and unlock new business opportunities. From matchday energy to events at Allianz Field, your work will shape how people experience our club and our venue.
What You'll Do:

  • Set and lead a multi-channel marketing strategy that drives brand growth, fan acquisition, and revenue across MNUFC and Allianz Field
  • Connect marketing priorities to enterprise outcomes - ticket sales, premium experiences, partnerships, and event programming
  • Use data and insights to guide decisions, measure impact, and continuously evolve approach

Brand & Storytelling
  • Serve as a steward of the MNUFC and Allianz Field brands, ensuring consistency, authenticity, and cultural relevance
  • Lead creative direction and brand evolution in partnership with digital, production, communications, and partnership teams
  • Champion storytelling that reflects the club's identity and strengthens emotional connection with fans

Fan Engagement & Experience
  • Lead innovative campaigns that grow and deepen our fan base
  • Partner across game presentation, digital, ticketing, and operations to deliver a seamless, best-in-class experience - on matchdays, events, and beyond

Media & Performance Marketing
  • Lead paid media strategy and agency partnerships to drive acquisition, engagement, and conversion
  • Integrate paid, owned, and earned channels for maximum reach, efficiency, and ROI
  • Stay ahead of evolving platforms, audience behaviors, and industry trends

Revenue & Partnership Support
  • Collaborate with Corporate Partnerships to develop activations and brand integrations that drive partner value and revenue
  • Align marketing with ticket sales, premium, and event teams to support business goals across all revenue streams

Budget & Resource Stewardship
  • Manage the marketing budget with discipline, prioritizing investments that deliver the strongest return and long-term brand value

Leadership & Influence
  • Lead and develop a high-performing marketing team
  • Influence and align stakeholders across the organization to drive clarity, shared priorities, and collective ownership of outcomes
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and growth

What You'll Bring:
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Sports Management, or a related field; or a combination of education and experience
  • 10+ years of progressive marketing experience in sports, entertainment, or agency environments
  • 5+ years leading and developing high-performing teams
  • Proven ability to influence cross-functional partners and drive enterprise alignment
  • Experience managing media and creative agency relationships
  • Strong command of audience segmentation, analytics, and data-informed strategy
  • Business acumen that connects marketing to revenue and growth outcomes
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Comfort operating in a fast-paced, high-expectation environment

Compensation & Benefits:

The compensation range for this full-time (exempt) role is $110,000 - $130,000 annually, with the final offer based on experience and qualifications.
