Position Summary:
As a member of the Executive Leadership Team reporting directly to the President/CEO, the Vice President - Operations holds broad operational responsibility for Atlanta Airlines Terminal Company's (AATC) Customer Experience, Landside Operations, Airside Operations, Airport Lost & Found, and Baggage Handling System functions at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport. The Vice President - Operations improves operational efficiency and performance through analytics, processes, and tools; makes sound business decisions based on relevant data and statistics; and develops strong relationships with business partners and executive peers.
The Vice President - Operations works continuously to ensure AATC delivers operational excellence and readiness to passengers at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, identifying innovative cleanliness, operations maintenance, and other management solutions that exceed stakeholder expectations through close collaboration with vendors and external business partners.
Responsibilities:
โ€ข Lead and manage highly productive Operations team of Managers and frontline leaders and staff through strong communication, empowerment and coaching techniques.
โ€ข Executive point of contact for operations incident management, escalation procedures, coordination with airlines and other agencies, and communication with AATC team.
โ€ข Plan, organize and coordinate AATC's resources in the day-to-day operation of the Central Passenger Terminal Complex (CPTC), providing safe, secure and efficient use of the facility by passengers and employees.
โ€ข Develop short and long-term operational strategies in partnership with senior team members and provide the leadership necessary for the successful design, development, and execution of a strategy to achieve measurable outcomes in a timely, cost-effective manner.
โ€ข Provide guidance in the use of resources to optimize the dependability, cleanliness, appearance, and safety of the Airport facilities and grounds.
โ€ข Ensure that passenger interactions at all touch points are professional and address customer concerns in a timely and satisfactory manner.
โ€ข Use a data driven approach to monitor vendor performance.
โ€ข Support negotiations and administer/monitor applicable operations contracts and agreements.
โ€ข Represent AATC as required, including attendance of important functions, industry events and public meetings
โ€ข Ensure that Company operations comply with all applicable laws and regulations.
โ€ข Develop, monitor, approve and implement policies and procedures appropriate to the operation of the Company.
โ€ข Develop and manage the Operations budget with the ability to evaluate financial and business indicators and translate data into actionable information to drive results.
โ€ข Cultivate a strong and transparent working relationship with the AATC Members, airlines, Department of Aviation, City of Atlanta and all other key stakeholders to ensure open communication.
Skills & Requirements
Qualifications and Requirements:
โ€ข Must be able to pass requirements for approval for an ATL badge with customs seal. This includes a 10-year background search by fingerprint analysis.
โ€ข A driver's license is required, subject to successfully passing a driver background check for insurance purposes. Driving record must be void of recent major moving violations.
โ€ข Skilled in the usage of MS Office suite, including SharePoint, Excel, and PowerPoint, and can clearly present and articulate ideas. An Associate degree in Engineering, Business or related field with emphasis on Facilities Management or any equivalent combination of training.
โ€ข 3-5 years of documented experience in construction, facility maintenance and/or airport operations
โ€ข Obtain and maintain an OSHA 30-hr construction training certification
โ€ข Familiarity with a variety of the MEP and Architectural / Structural service trade's concepts, practices, and procedures.
โ€ข Strong knowledge of CMMS/EAMS
โ€ข Working knowledge of Asset Management and Project Management fundamentals.
โ€ข Working knowledge MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint and MS Project.
โ€ข Experience with reporting tools.
โ€ข Able to work a nighttime schedule to review project progress.
โ€ข Able to walk long distances and perform duties at all levels of the facility in both occupied and unoccupied areas.
