Vice President Investment Technology & Portfolio Solutions
Location: Hybrid New York Metro Area
We are partnering with a leading asset management firm to identify a seasoned professional to join their investment technology team as Vice President, Portfolio Solutions. This role is ideal for someone with extensive experience across fixed income asset classes and a background in either front-office technology or direct investment roles such as trading or portfolio strategy.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner closely with portfolio managers, analysts, risk, and quantitative teams to assess and map existing investment processes, tools, and areas for enhancement.
  • Lead the design of next-generation tools to support investment decision-making, with a focus on alpha generation, risk insights, and productivity optimization.
  • Define and document functional workflows, requirements, and solution architecture in collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Coordinate with software development teams to translate product designs into scalable solutions.
  • Champion the adoption of automation and emerging technologies including AI/ML to modernize portfolio workflows.
Candidate Profile:
  • 10+ years of experience within institutional fixed income, preferably in asset management or an investment advisory environment.
  • Background in either investment technology leadership or a front-office function such as trading or portfolio analytics.
  • Strong grasp of fixed income markets, instruments, and portfolio construction methodologies.
  • Skilled in analyzing workflows and defining technical requirements; comfortable working across business and technical teams.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a proven ability to convey complex ideas clearly.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Advanced certifications such as CFA or FRM are highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with platforms such as Aladdin or Bloomberg is a strong plus.
  • Experience with SQL, Python, data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI), or UI/UX design is advantageous.
