As a vice president of EHS, you manage the environmental health and safety department at your company. In this role, you may coordinate company compliance with local or federal regulations, supervise risky operations, and otherwise help your company avoid fines and penalties. You may also design training programs, help develop best safe practices, collect and record data, produce reports, and provide technical guidance through various methods. Vice presidents are often the senior manager of a department and report directly to the company president, though you may report to a department president instead if your company is especially large.
