Overview

The role encompasses a wide range of activities, including reinsurance pricing analysis, interaction with our Broking teams, client interaction as well as research projects. This broad-based introduction to the reinsurance sector will position you for significant future growth opportunities within our firm.

As a Vice President, you will provide actuarial reinsurance pricing and dynamic portfolio optimization support for our clients and prospects.


How you'll make an impact

Account Analysis & Support:

  • Perform actuarial analysis to develop loss model for client business, estimate reinsurance pricing, and determine optimal reinsurance structures given client risk profile and underwriting strategy
  • Present analyses in clear terms appropriate to the audience
  • Provide value-added service to clients as needed
  • Market Research and Development
  • Assist in market and line of business studies to qualify Gallagher Re as thought leader in reinsurance and primary marketplace
  • Work closely with other analytical associates across Gallagher Re, including other actuaries, catastrophe modelers, rating agency advisory, ERM and capital markets associates

About You

  • Skilled in R and Python

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree or commensurate experience; 9+ years’ related experience
  • FCAS or ACAS
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and R and/or Python
  • Moderate travel required, including some overnight travel.
