We are looking for a Data Center Infrastructure Engineer to join our team supporting the cutting-edge Cyber TRIDENT Program and make an impact by guiding the definition, implementation, and delivery of capability focused on Cyber Training systems. Responsibilities Include:
  • Network Infrastructure: Provide support with the design, implementation, operation, and maintenance of full stack data center infrastructure, including but not limited to: Compute, Storage, Networking, Power, Cabling, Racking, Virtualization, Containerization and physical facility infrastructure. Perform as a technical team member of Engineers in the maintenance (technical including VMware, Micro-Services, Networking, Security Services, etc.) of the platform and ensuring continuity of operations for our End Users. In this role you will need to foster a relationship of trust with our customers and the current in place technical staff.
  • Network Maintenance: Automate, collect, process, and present, system performance, and other metric information to show improvements or degradation over time. Balance hybrid cloud distribution between private corporate infrastructure and public clouds. Work as part of a fast moving highly diverse team across multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Team Leader: Contribute as part of a high performing team in an Agile development and execution paradigm providing insight into taskings to both the team and customer via Jira and Confluence.

Basic Qualifications:
  • Educational Background: Bachelor's degree and five (5) or more years of experience in a relevant field. Additional experience may be considered in lieu of degree. Effective interpersonal and communications skills. Effective interpersonal and communications skills to convey and present system performance info, to mentor colleagues, and to interface effectively with vendors, customers, and team partners.
  • Development Experience: Well-versed with Linux system management, specifically with Red Hat OS including Identity Management (IdM) and Single Sign On (SSO). Experience with scripting (Ansible, Python, Bash, Puppet, PowerShell). Ability to navigate Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift, Git and Kustomize.
  • Software/Network Development: Understanding of Cisco networking technologies such as the following. Switching (Cisco Nexus (7k's, 5k's, 2k's, 9k's, Catalyst 4k's, VLAN's, STP, RSTP, VPC, VPC+, OTV, VXLAN), Routing technologies (ASR, ISRG2, EIGRP, BGP, redistribution, summarization), IP (IPV4 & IPV6, NAT, ACL's, DNS, DHCP), Multicast protocols (PIM SM/DM/SSM), and Cisco IOS. Experience with F5 / BIG IP physical and virtual network devices. Ability to solve technical problems involving a variety of integrated software and hardware platforms.
  • Security Clearance Requirement: Active Secret clearance, with an ability to obtain a TS/SCI Security Clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with Ansible (or similar) infrastructure automation to deploy and configure standard baselines for physical devices and in a virtual environment (VMware and Linux).
  • Utilize scripting for automating tasks, administration, data collection and reporting. This job requires the ability to write, test, debug, deploy, and maintain scripts.
  • Ability to audit and report system and performance logs.
  • Ability to automate, administer and maintain the environment through configuration management, version control, and backups with the use of scripting.
  • Ability to research and/or implement new technologies.
  • Professionally convey system-wide performance information routinely via tools such as PowerPoint, Excel, Visio, etc.
  • Examine any relevant change implementation, then report the changes to developers and testers welcoming feedback for future improvements.
  • Ability to solve technical problems involving a variety of integrated software and hardware platforms.
  • Knowledge of or experience with the DoD Risk Management Framework (RMF) and National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) or similar best practices and security guidelines.
  • Knowledge of or experience with managing, provisioning, deploying, and orchestrating infrastructure specifications through Infrastructure as Code (IaC) platforms such as Ansible and/or Terraform.
