We are seeking a Senior Vice President of Leasing, to lead and execute leasing strategies across the Company's portfolio.  Partnering closely with our Asset Management team, this role will drive portfolio value, maximize occupancy, and directly impact our bottom line. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Head of Leasing, managing leasing professionals across a national platform in 25 states.
  • Develop and implement asset-specific leasing strategies for stabilized, value-add, and opportunistic retail assets to drive NOI and maximize investor returns throughout US portfolio.
  • Leverage an established network of national retailers, franchises, brokers, and tenant representatives to source new prospects and execute anchor, junior anchor, and inline leases.
  • Recruit, mentor, and directly manage the internal leasing team (including Directors, Managers and Associates). Set clear individual performance metrics, foster a high-accountability sales culture, and actively coach team members on complex deal structuring, negotiation tactics, and relationship management to build a strong talent pipeline.
  • Select, contract, and actively manage third-party leasing brokerage teams. Establish clear performance metrics, holding teams accountable to leasing timelines and pro-forma targets.
  • Oversee and collaborate on the underwriting, structuring, and final negotiation of complex retail leases, including specialized clauses (e.g., co-tenancy, exclusives, percentage rent, kick-outs, and radius restrictions).
  • Partner with Asset Management to align leasing activity with property business plans on an on-going basis.
  • Assist Investments during due diligence by validating market assumptions, market rents, and tenant creditworthiness.
  • Review and analyze lease economics using Excel. Present financial analyses, Net Present Value (NPV) calculations, and tenant credit profiles to the Investment team for approval.
  • Report directly to and work closely with the EVP of Real Estate Operations and Strategy to ensure investor returns and company goals and objectives are met.

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 8-12+ years of sophisticated commercial real estate leasing experience, with a strict focus on retail assets (strip centers, power centers, lifestyle centers, or urban retail). Experience within a PE firm, REIT, or top-tier institutional developer is highly preferred.
  • Proven history of closing deals with major national and regional retail tenants, with a deep understanding of current retail market trends and experiential retail shifts.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel for underwriting lease economics and calculating financial returns and deal metrics.
  • Expert understanding of retail lease language, legal structures, and the financial impact of restrictive covenants.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in real estate, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field preferred. An MBA or MS in Real Estate is a plus.
  • Must be passionate about managing and developing a high performing team.
  • Familiarity with generative AI tools (e.g., Claude, ChatGPT, or Gemini) to enhance personal productivity, streamline research, and assist with content creation or workflow automation highly preferred.

The annual salary range for this role is $225,000-$325,000 plus an annual performance based bonus
