Our confidential client is seeking an accomplished Vice President of Operations to provide strategic leadership and operational oversight across a portfolio of skilled nursing facilities throughout Florida and Georgia. This executive leadership role is responsible for driving operational excellence, strengthening financial performance, developing high-performing leaders, and ensuring the delivery of outstanding resident care.

POSITION OVERVIEW

The Vice President of Operations serves as a key member of the executive leadership team, partnering closely with Division and Regional leadership to execute strategic initiatives that improve operational performance, financial results, regulatory compliance, and quality outcomes across multiple skilled nursing facilities.

The successful candidate will provide mentorship and support to Executive Directors and Administrators while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement. This leader will be instrumental in advancing organizational growth while ensuring each facility delivers exceptional resident care and operational excellence.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide strategic leadership and operational oversight across multiple skilled nursing facilities.
  • Partner with Division and Regional leadership to develop and execute long-term operational strategies that align with organizational goals.
  • Support, mentor, and develop Executive Directors and Administrators to drive accountability, leadership growth, and operational success.
  • Monitor operational and financial performance through key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement action plans to achieve desired outcomes.
  • Collaborate on budgeting, financial planning, and P&L management to meet revenue, expense, and profitability goals.
  • Lead operational improvement initiatives that enhance efficiency, productivity, and organizational effectiveness.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations governing skilled nursing operations.
  • Partner with clinical leadership to maintain exceptional quality outcomes, survey readiness, and regulatory compliance.
  • Drive census growth through referral development, strategic partnerships, and community engagement.
  • Foster strong collaboration between clinical, operational, financial, and support services.
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and implement best practices across the region.
  • Promote a culture focused on resident satisfaction, employee engagement, and operational excellence.

IDEAL CANDIDATE

  • Five or more years of senior leadership experience within skilled nursing or long-term care operations.
  • Proven success overseeing multiple facilities or regional operations.
  • Strong knowledge of skilled nursing regulations, survey processes, and compliance requirements.
  • Extensive experience managing budgets, financial performance, and profit and loss (P&L).
  • Demonstrated ability to lead organizational growth and operational improvement initiatives.
  • Exceptional leadership, coaching, and team development skills.
  • Strong strategic planning and operational execution abilities.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and relationship-building skills.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum of five (5) years of leadership experience in skilled nursing or long-term care operations.
  • Multi-site operational leadership experience required.
  • Demonstrated experience managing financial performance, budgets, and P&L responsibility.
  • Thorough understanding of state and federal skilled nursing regulations and survey processes.
  • Proven track record of improving operational performance, quality outcomes, and regulatory compliance.
  • Ability to travel throughout Florida and Georgia as needed.
