Senior Vice President (SVP) Business Development
New York, NY | Hybrid | Full-Time

About Us

At Milrose Consultants, we build more than buildings—we build trust, expertise, and lasting partnerships. As leaders in building code consulting, municipal filing, and permitting services, we’re proud to help shape the skylines of tomorrow through excellence in regulatory compliance and strategic advisory.

Position Overview

We’re looking for a Senior Vice President (SVP) of Business Development to join our Executive Leadership Team. In this role, you’ll spearhead the firm’s strategic growth through Fortune 500–1000 enterprise account development, focusing on executive relationship building and high-value contract acquisition. You’ll work closely with C-level stakeholders internally and externally to establish Milrose as the premier compliance partner in verticals such as finance, retail, healthcare, and real estate.

What You’ll Do

Strategic Enterprise Development (80%)

  • Build and manage a pipeline of Fortune 500–1000 prospects with $2M+ contract potential.
  • Establish and deepen C-suite relationships at target accounts.
  • Lead enterprise strategy planning, stakeholder mapping, and pursuit tactics.
  • Deliver executive presentations, proposals, and lead complex contract negotiations.
  • Navigate long, multi-stakeholder sales cycles (12–24+ months).

Industry Specialization & Market Intelligence

  • Develop vertical expertise across real estate, construction, finance, retail, and healthcare.
  • Represent Milrose as a thought leader through speaking engagements and publications.
  • Analyze trends, risks, and opportunities within target markets.

Strategic Planning & Organizational Development (20%)

  • Define and implement enterprise go-to-market and revenue strategies.
  • Coordinate with Sales, Marketing, and Operations to align solutions with client needs.
  • Build scalable business development processes and successful frameworks.
  • Mentor and support sales team development in enterprise engagement.

What You’ll Bring

Required:

  • 15+ years of progressive enterprise-level B2B business development experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA from top-tier program strongly preferred.
  • Track record of managing $20M+ in revenue and winning multi-million-dollar contracts.
  • 8+ years of leadership experience in business development, sales strategy, or executive roles.
  • Exceptional ability to build and sustain C-level relationships.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and executive presence.

Preferred:

  • Experience in professional services, consulting, or regulated B2B sectors.
  • Deep network in real estate, construction, or related industries.
  • Familiarity with complex organizational decision-making and procurement processes.

Work Environment & Schedule

  • This position is based in New York City, with a hybrid work schedule.
  • Standard working hours are Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 5 PM.
  • Travel requirements: Moderate to frequent, based on client engagement.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary range: $200K – $225K, based on experience and qualifications.
  • Performance-based bonus and long-term incentive compensation.
  • Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance, and 401(k) plan.
  • Paid time off: holidays, vacation, sick, personal, and birthday.
  • Executive coaching, career development, and leadership training opportunities.
