Job description

Providence Veterinary Clinic is looking to hire a hardworking, friendly kennel assistant. A kennel assistant attends to the basic needs of animals that are in our hospital and kennel. Seasonal workers encouraged to apply.

We are looking for 1 full time (over 35 hours a week) person to join our team!

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Good attitude
  • Hard worker

Responsibilities:

  • Handle general care tasks such as feeding and grooming of the animals
  • Assist in restraining animals for veterinary management
  • Keep records of animal feedings, treatments, and other updates
  • Engage in play activities and exercise with the animals
  • Maintain a clean and healthy environment
  • Give oral medications to dogs and cats
  • MUST be able to work weekends and holidays

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in animal care or other related fields
  • Passion to help and treat animals
  • Ability to interact with animals in a calm, non-threatening manner
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
