North Port Animal Hospital is seeking a Client Service Representative (CSR) to join our amazing two-doctor animal practice in North Port, FL. Being a Client Service Representative (CSR) in a veterinary office takes a special kind of person who can deal with both humans and animals alike. As a CSR, your primary responsibility is to be efficient in all front desk operations. A CSR is the client's first and last impression when visiting us, and it is important that all clients feel welcome, safe and comfortable. CSRs are invaluable members of our hospital team, and we treat them that way. Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
โ€ข Deliver exceptional customer service to pet owners in a polite and timely manner, both in person and over the phone
โ€ข Schedule and confirm appointments, record keeping and organization, provide estimates and invoices for payment
โ€ข Respond with compassion and empathy in stressful and emotional situations
โ€ข Maintain a clean, stocked and orderly lobby and front office area
โ€ข Educate clients on wellness plans, food and products sold in the waiting room
โ€ข Perform opening and closing procedures, end-of-day reports and deposits
โ€ข Data Entry: records, client questionnaires, referral information, etc.
โ€ข Distribute mail
โ€ข Ensure that referral letters and lab results go to the corresponding veterinarians
โ€ข Admit patients: ensuring that the patient is weighed, and all information is current
โ€ข Opportunities to learn Veterinary Assistant skills if desired
Skills and Qualifications:
โ€ข One year of experience in veterinary practice (or human medical practice) preferred
โ€ข Minimum two years' customer service experience required (retail, food and beverage, etc.)
โ€ข Must possess basic math skills to determine proper deposits, make changes, and process payments utilizing credit card and check terminal
โ€ข Preferred general understanding of veterinary terminology, situational understanding and being able to successfully communicate these situations with clients and veterinary team.
โ€ข Excellent communication skills with clients and team members
โ€ข Proficient time management, ability to solve problems, learn, and handle multiple tasks
โ€ข Enthusiastic team player with a patient, and positive professional attitude.
