Job Summary

The Overseas Logistics Coordinator is responsible for managing the end-to-end import logistics process, ensuring the timely and cost-effective procurement and delivery of goods from international suppliers. This role works closely with overseas vendors, freight partners, customs brokers, and internal teams to coordinate purchase orders, monitor shipments, and maintain accurate records within the company's ERP system.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with overseas vendors to negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules.
  • Prepare, issue, and manage international purchase orders.
  • Monitor and track purchase orders throughout the production and shipping process to ensure on-time delivery.
  • Coordinate international shipments from origin to final destination in the United States.
  • Manage domestic logistics for imported goods by working with freight carriers, customs brokers, and freight forwarders.
  • Ensure all import documentation is accurate and compliant with applicable customs and transportation regulations.
  • Receive and process inbound containers in the ERP system upon arrival.
  • Review, verify, and enter invoices from customs brokers, freight forwarders, and transportation carriers for payment processing.
  • Maintain accurate shipping, purchasing, and logistics records within the ERP system.
  • Communicate shipment status, delays, and potential issues to internal stakeholders and work proactively to resolve logistics challenges.
  • Identify opportunities to improve transportation efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance supply chain performance.

Qualifications

  • Experience in international purchasing, import/export logistics, or supply chain operations preferred.
  • Knowledge of ocean freight, customs clearance procedures, freight forwarding, and domestic transportation.
  • Experience with ERP systems and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple shipments and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and documentation.

Hourly Rate is up to $37.50/hour
