NIVES is hiring an experienced Veterinary Assistant to join our Emergency team on 3rd shift. What You'll Do
- Assist technicians and veterinarians with emergency exams and treatments
- Safely restrain patients and support handling during procedures
- Prepare and maintain treatment areas, equipment, and supplies
- Support patient care, including cleaning, feeding, and monitoring comfort
- Collect samples and assist with basic lab tasks as directed
- Maintain accurate records and support communication within the team
- Help ensure a clean, organized, and efficient ER environment
What We're Looking For
- Previous veterinary experience required (ER experience preferred)
- Strong patient handling and restraint skills
- Ability to stay calm, focused, and efficient in high-pressure situations
- Team-oriented mindset with strong communication skills
- Willingness to learn and grow in a fast-paced emergency setting
