About the role
The Ticket Agent / Concession Agent is a dual-role position responsible for ticket sales, guest check-in, managing boarding lines (queuing), and providing concession services onboard vessels as needed. This role requires strong customer service skills, sales ability, organization, and adaptability to shift between responsibilities based on operational needs. Must be available to work weekends
Hourly Rate: $17.87 - $17.87
What you'll do
Ticket Sales & Guest Check-In:
  • Process ticket sales and reservations, ensuring guests receive accurate booking details.
  • Handle cash and credit transactions securely while maintaining accurate payment records.
  • Assist guests with special bookings, such as group reservations and private charters.
  • Clearly communicate boarding times, cruise details, and passenger expectations.
  • Work in multiple ticketing platforms to process pre-sold tickets.

Queue & Boarding Management:
  • Organize and direct guest boarding lines to maintain efficiency and safety.
  • Assist in enforcing boarding policies, preventing overcrowding and unauthorized access.
  • Communicate with the deck crew to ensure smooth passenger loading.
  • Concession Sales & Food Service (Onboard Duties):
  • Operate the concession stand onboard, selling snacks, beverages, and souvenirs.
  • Ensure proper handling of food and beverage items in accordance with health and safety standards.
  • Upsell concession items to enhance the guest experience and increase revenue.
  • Maintain a clean and organized concession area, ensuring proper stocking of inventory.
  • Process cash and credit payments for concessions and balance daily sales.

Customer Assistance & Guest Experience:
  • Answer guest inquiries regarding cruise schedules, pricing, and amenities.
  • Assist passengers with special needs, providing a welcoming and accommodating experience.
  • Proactively resolve guest concerns or escalate issues to management when necessary.
  • Security & Safety Awareness:
  • Monitor and report suspicious activity around the ticket booth, boarding area, and onboard concessions.
  • Ensure guests follow boarding safety guidelines and enforce concession sales policies.
  • Administrative & Sales Support:
  • Maintain sales reports, cash reconciliation records, and inventory logs for both ticketing and concessions.
  • Keep the ticket booth and concession stand clean, stocked, and organized.
  • Promote upgrades, special packages, and future cruise bookings to guests.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by the Guest Services Manager or Vessel Captain based on operational needs.

Qualifications
  • Previous experience in customer service, sales, or hospitality preferred.
  • Ability to handle cash and credit transactions accurately and securely.
  • Food handling experience preferred (training available for onboard concession duties).
  • Strong communication and organizational skills to manage high guest volumes.
  • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Comfortable standing for extended periods and handling food and beverage service onboard.
  • Professional, friendly demeanor with a strong customer service focus.
