Description:


Verus is looking for a self-motivated, organized and results-driven mid-senior level Electrical & Controls Designer to join our Reno, NV team. Our clients are important to us and we need someone who enjoys a good challenge, is accountable, well organized and takes pride in driving solutions.


The right candidate will bring experience with Electrical and Controls Design, Control Panel design, Instrumentation, and CAD drafting.


Experience:

  • Designing, maintaining, implementing, or improving electrical instruments, facilities, components, equipment products, or systems for industrial purposes.
  • Develop control panel drawings, loop drawings, ladder diagrams, 1-line diagrams, intrinsic circuits, conduit routing and load calculations
  • Performing a wide range of engineering tasks by operating computer-assisted design or engineering software and equipment.
  • Ensuring that installation and operations conform to standards and customer requirements by preparing electrical systems specifications, technical drawings, or topographical maps.
  • Ensuring compliance with specifications, applicable codes, and customer requirements.
  • Preparing specifications for purchasing of electrical equipment and materials.


Requirements

  • 3-8 years of experience in Electrical & Controls Design or Instrumentation
  • Control Panel Design experience.
  • Experience designing control systems.
  • Experience with Instrumentation nice to have.
  • Experience in using CAD software (AutoCAD or ePLan).
  • Experience with drawing standards, drawing review, peer reviews, etc.
  • Degree in electronics, instrumentation, or controls desirable but not required.
  • Knowledge of applicable codes related to the electrical field.
