Position- Vertica Admin

Duration- Contract

Location- Austin, TX / Sunnyvale, CA

  • Minimum 10+ years' experience in Vertica and managing several multi-terabyte
  • Vertica databases both on-prem and cloud.
  • Expert Knowledge of Vertica Architecture - Vertica Enterprise and Vertica Eon.
  • Expertise in installing/upgrade and maintaining 50+ Vertica environments.
  • 5+ year experience in Performance Tuning and Optimization in Vertica which includes projections, partitions
  • Maintain Vertica databases and assist with regular OS patching.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve Vertica issues for aggressive SLA needs in production environment.
  • Maintain database services, database monitoring and performance tuning and resource management
  • Enhance and add more tools for automation of manual tasks for DBA activities - bash and python
  • Experience in working mission critical production environment.
  • Experience in working with database backup and recovery, and resolving production database incidents.
