  • Maintain accurate logs of maintenance deficiencies, issues, and operational concerns.
  • Maintain files and correspondence related to services performed by suppliers and sub-suppliers.
  • Submit monthly reports within five business days following month-end, including issues affecting operation and maintenance of the facility and grounds.
  • Prepare and submit additional reports as required and participate in discussions with USPS regarding facility work plans.
  • Make recommendations for facility projects supported by cost estimates and appropriate documentation.

 What You’ll Bring:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s degree, technical certification, or vocational training in building systems, facilities maintenance, mechanical systems, electrical systems, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 6 years of progressively responsible experience in building operations, facilities maintenance, or engineering support in a commercial, industrial, institutional, or government environment, including experience leading or coordinating maintenance activities.
  • Demonstrated experience overseeing daily facility operations, preventive and corrective maintenance, work planning, and supplier or subcontractor performance to support safe and efficient building operations.
  • Working knowledge of building systems, facility safety practices, and compliance requirements related to chemicals, hazardous materials, and operational maintenance standards.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to prepare reports, document maintenance issues, discuss work plans, and communicate effectively with management, customers, and stakeholders.
  • Ability to assess facility needs, recommend corrective actions or improvement projects, and support project estimates and documentation for operational or capital work.
