Job description

Job Summary:
Bechtel Plant Machinery, Inc. (BPMI) is a prime contractor for the Naval Nuclear Propulsion Program (NNPP). The Senior Information Systems Support Technologist performs complex technical functions to support company operations, including user and account support, data administration, and safeguarding sensitive information.
Responsibilities:
โ€ข Administer Enterprise System Accounts by performing the following actions:
โ€ข Assigning user help desk tickets and triage.
โ€ข Creating new user accounts.
โ€ข Managing existing accounts (disabling, re-enabling/reactivating, unlocking and deleting).
โ€ข Assigning the appropriate access role/privileges to user accounts.
โ€ข Troubleshooting user access issues.
โ€ข Scan and electronic file account paperwork.
โ€ข Provide Company Business System Information System Support including Oracle-ERP Tier 1 and future developed business system solutions by performing the following actions:
โ€ข Help desk triage,
โ€ข System access requests, system data entry and upkeep,
โ€ข Transactional system account administration and system support,
โ€ข SharePoint or Microsoft suite of line-of-business apps of Power Apps;
โ€ข PDF scrapping to conduct data accuracy checks
โ€ข Perform data offloads and file transfer data accuracy checks.
โ€ข Data administration tasks, visit request, and training administration duties.
โ€ข E-document support (e.g., file scanning, uploads, administering repositories, etc.)
โ€ข Transactional/data management, other business services and aid to other/all IT professional level work.
โ€ข Perform virus scanning of incoming BPMI contract submittals (media) via supplier e-sheets or ingress onto BPMI site.
โ€ข Ensure proper handling and processing of department incoming e-sheets.
โ€ข Serve as the ADSARS Drawing database administrator for BPMI which duties include but are not limited to:
โ€ข Initial upload and new revisions of drawings to ADSARS.
โ€ข Correct any necessary metadata changes.
โ€ข Troubleshoot to ensure quality assurance.
โ€ข Maintain and execute the guidance contained in the Media Center camera plan.
โ€ข Responsible for distinguishing between on-site and off-site usage and the corresponding forms.
โ€ข Responsible for BPMI owned projectors and tracking whereabouts of multimedia equipment and accessories.
โ€ข Transfer user data to the applicable network designated by the requester and ensuring all usage logs are filled out in their entirety.
โ€ข Generate and post Technical Manual Encrypted Media Passwords to the NR Information Portal.
โ€ข Perform various tasks related to the administration of BPMI Media Center laptops.
โ€ข Perform Media Center tasks to ensure the proper and secure ingress/egress of NR Program data.
โ€ข Tasks include but are not limited to the following:
โ€ข Transfer user data from NNPP to PrimeNet network.
โ€ข Upload files from media to NNPP and PrimeNet user folders.
โ€ข Creation of media from NNPP and PrimeNet using standardized procedures and applying appropriate classification labels.
โ€ข Encrypt sensitive and classified media created from NNPP and PrimeNet with the applicable encryption software.
โ€ข Maintain all required forms/logs for traceability and auditing purposes.
โ€ข Engage in routine audits from BPMI Security and NNL IT and any self-assessments.
โ€ข Identify, recommend, and support implementation of process improvements in support of Information Systems and Media Center Operations.
โ€ข Maintain knowledge of Logistics Systems and Business Systems Procedures and Desk References.
โ€ข Maintain knowledge of IT Standard Operating Procedures and IT High Risk Procedures related to Media Center.
Qualifications:
Required:
โ€ข Associateโ€™s degree in information technology, Information Systems Technology, Management Information Systems, Computer Information Systems, or equivalent education from an accredited college or university.
โ€ข A minimum of eight (8) years of relevant experience (e.g., technical support specialist, help desk technician, or IT support analyst).
โ€ข Twelve (12) or more years of completed education and/or relevant experience may be considered to satisfy educational and years of experience requirements.
โ€ข Requires a security clearance; however, all qualified candidates will be considered regardless of their current clearance status.
โ€ข The ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy 'Q' security clearance is required.
Preferred:
โ€ข Prior experience working at BPMI.
โ€ข Advanced knowledge of personal computer software such as, but not limited to, Microsoft operating system, Microsoft Office, media creation software, basic database software, SharePoint lists and design, Power Apps workflows, media burning software, password encryption software, and computer endpoints and peripherals.
โ€ข Advanced knowledge of PC scanning software, office automation hardware such as, but not limited to hardware used for creating and encrypting media, such as to to CD/DVD ROMs, external hard drives, and flash drives.
โ€ข Ability to offload media from various platforms (e.g., external media, built-in filesystems, cameras, etc.).
โ€ข Advanced knowledge of in house systems (i.e., Enterprise Business Systems, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, ADSARS, SWFS).
โ€ข Advanced knowledge of the iOS mobile operating system and company-provisioned Apple Device apps.
โ€ข Ability to complete the initial setup on a company sponsored mobile devices and ability to perform user troubleshooting to standard operating procedures.
โ€ข Ability to scan and perform quality checks on documents and drawings and crop images as needed.
โ€ข Demonstrated ability to be self-motivated and to independently solve problems. Empowered and proactive in identifying what needs to be done and doing it.
โ€ข Ability to organize and prioritize work.
โ€ข Familiarity with company Operating Instructions, practices, and procedures.
โ€ข Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
โ€ข Knowledge of Program/IT security procedures.
โ€ข Knowledge and ability to handle classified documents and media.
โ€ข Demonstrates adaptability, flexibility, and the willingness to assume new tasks and/or learn new.
โ€ข Demonstrated efficiency in keyboarding skills, spreadsheets, SharePoint, and system data entry and administration.
