Job description

The Facilities Department at Saint Michael's College is inviting applications for a full-time Electrician. This position supports the department in maintaining a comfortable, safe, and efficient environment by providing timely responses to issues and ensuring all campus systems are fully operational.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Inspects, maintains, repairs, replaces and tests all electrical and fire alarm systems and components throughout campus
  • Coordinates annual inspections and repairs with contractors
  • Plans and implements renovation/upgrade/repair projects
  • Addresses daily work orders
  • Participates in an on-call rotation for 1-week every 4-5 weeks

Qualifications:

Applicants must have the following:

  • 2-4 years' experience required
  • Journeyman License with the State of Vermont preferred
  • Fire Alarm Certified with the State of Vermont preferred

This position will require regular work hours, as well as occasional on-call evening, weekend, and holiday times.
