Job description

PGH Wong Engineering, Inc. has a proud and lengthy history of delivering innovative, challenging, and complex projects. Responsibilities & Duties:
  • Conduct audits of the ISE and ICE in accordance with the approved ISE/ICE Management Plans.
  • Perform oversight on the Contractor's compliance to the CP1 VV&SC Contract requirements and the Verification Validation & Self-Certification Plan requirements.
  • Review the Contractor's Verification, Validation, & Self-Certification Plan.
  • Review the Contractor's ICE/ISE Assessment Plan.
  • Perform oversight on the Contractor's compliance with the ICE/ISE Assessment Plan.
  • Perform oversight on the Contractor's update and management of DOORS.
  • Support Safety and Security Certification requirements for the HST Corridor and adjacent railroad pertaining to the Federal Railroad Administration (FRA) and the California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC).
  • Perform timely audits of the VV&SC and ICE/ISE processes.
  • Provide due diligence review of the Contractor's performance in accordance with the Requirements Verification and Traceability Matrix (RVTM) and oversight of Certified Items List (CIL) and Interface Control Documents (ICD).
  • Perform oversight of the Contractor's compliance with the HST Safety and Security Management Plan (SSMP) requirements including the HST Safety Certification Plan (SSCP).
  • Provide input to the PCM's monthly reports.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

In addition, as Handover Oversight Manager, this position will be responsible for managing the handover process throughout the life of the D/B contract with a focus on the objective of final system certification and handover. Will include the following tasks:
  • Develop a Handover Oversight Plan to manage the process, staff, and contractor for Section Substantial Completion submittals
  • Serve as a member of the Certification Committee
  • Manage the contractor Section Substantial Completion submittal process
  • Perform Due Diligence Checking on Section Substantial Completion submittals, including performing additional inspections, surveys, and/or testings
  • Reviews the punch list items
  • Reviews the Exceptions List
  • Logging and tracking of all Handover and Section Submittal Completion submittals, including metric reports
  • Audit D/B contractor Handover and Section Submittal Completion procedures.

Qualifications & Skills:
  • 7+ years of relevant experience
  • Bachelors in Engineering, Industrial or other related fields, preferred
  • Rail experience is preferred but not required
  • IBM Rational DOORS experience preferred but not required
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Able to work independently and in a team environment with minimal supervision
  • Proficient in MS Excel and MS Word
