Job Description:
Key duties include processing National Student Clearinghouse (NSC) verification requests, Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) eligibility verifications, ensuring compliance with the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) and institutional policies, and managing transcript requests. This position is also responsible for preparing enrollment and good academic standing student verification forms and letters, completing in-school deferment forms, reconciling NSC reporting, maintaining student records, answering incoming calls and emails, and providing assistance to those coming into the office.
Minimum Qualifications:
โ€ข Considerable knowledge of the principles of higher education and/or state and federal degree program enrollment regulations.
โ€ข Considerable knowledge of FERPA and NSC regulations and processes.
โ€ข Considerable knowledge of university operational calendars and information flow regarding student records, biographical data and University policies and procedures.
โ€ข Exceptional skill in reviewing credentials and issuing verification documents; conducting educational-based research analyses, identifying problem areas, coordinating complex activities in support of student enrollment services, and promoting and evaluating statewide policies and assigned educational programs.
โ€ข Exceptional customer service skills in a student-centric environment.
โ€ข Considerable skill in accuracy and attention to detail to respond and interact with diverse populations.
โ€ข Excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills.
โ€ข Ability to both work as part of a team and work autonomously when appropriate.
โ€ข Ability to apply knowledge of specialized enrollment program areas.
โ€ข Ability to learn essential aspects of a student information system(SIS).
โ€ข Ability to use good judgment and discretion in handling sensitive issues.
