Job Description
Overview
The Venue Operations Supervisor serves as the primary operational leader for daily Event
Technology activities. Working closely with the Senior Event Technology Manager and/or Venue
Operations Manager, this position oversees event execution, staffing coordination, equipment
deployment, and operational logistics to ensure successful event delivery.
The Venue Operations Supervisor provides direct leadership to technical staff and serves as the bridge
between departmental strategy and day-to-day operations. This role is highly visible and customer-facing,
requiring strong leadership, communication, and event management skills.
What You'll Be Doing
May include, but not limited to:
  • Lead daily event operations including setup, execution, and tear down activities.
  • Coordinate staffing assignments, labor deployment, and event schedules.
  • Supervise technical staff and ensure adherence to departmental standards.
  • Serve as an on-site point of contact for clients, presenters, and venue personnel.
  • Conduct pre-event reviews and assist with operational planning.
  • Coordinate equipment allocation and technical resource deployment.
  • Monitor event execution and proactively address operational challenges.
  • Ensure compliance with safety procedures and operational policies.
  • Support inventory management, equipment readiness, and maintenance initiatives.
  • Escalate technical, staffing, or customer service concerns as necessary.

What You Need for this Position
  • 3+ years of experience in event technology, venue operations, hospitality, or live event production.
  • Experience leading technical teams or coordinating event operations.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and customer service skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in fast-paced environments.
  • Working knowledge of professional audiovisual systems and event technology.
  • Demonstrated leadership and decision-making abilities.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
