Job Title: Branch Sales Representative

Location: Builders Aurora LBM – Smith Road

Department: Inside Sales

Reports To: Colorado Inside Sales Manager

Salary: Non-exempt, Hourly

Status: Full-time

About the Role:

Branch Sales Representative is the sales team presence at the Smith Road location and is pivotal in delivering exceptional customer service to walk in customers and contractors. This role focuses on accurately understanding customer needs, providing solutions and efficiently processing sales transactions to ensure a seamless purchasing experience. The successful candidate will manage inventory inquiries, assist the sales team and maintain strong relationships with customers to support repeat business and customer satisfaction. Ultimately, the Branch Sales Representative professional contributes to the overall success of the sales operation by fostering a positive, professional environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Greet and assist customers at the Smith Road Office, providing exceptional customer service. Direct other visitors to the appropriate department or team member as needed.
  • Answer incoming calls through the office phone system, assisting customers and routing calls appropriately in a professional and timely manner.
  • Process sales transactions accurately using point-of-sale systems and handle cash, credit, or other payment methods.
  • Manage inventory inquiries, check stock and special orders availability to meet customer requirements.
  • Maintain knowledge of product lines and pricing to effectively support customer purchasing decisions.
  • Support the sales team by processing orders, entering quotes, and assisting with other sales-related administrative tasks as needed.

** NOTE: These are the essential, but not limited, functions of the Branch Sales Representative position. Management has the discretion to add to or change the duties/responsibilities to be performed by this position.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with customers, vendors and team members.
  • Ability to sit for extended periods.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is highly preferred.
  • Experience working directly with contractors, builders, or construction professionals.
  • Familiarity with construction materials, plan sets, and industry terminology.
  • Advanced computer skills including Microsoft Office and specialized sales software.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Customer service or related training.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to sit, stand and walk about the facility.
  • Regularly lift and/or move up to 10 lbs. Occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 lbs.

The role may occasionally require time outdoors in the lumber yard or open-air warehouse to assist customers, verify inventory, or support operational needs. Employees may be exposed to varying weather conditions when working outside.
