Job description

POSITION SUMMARY

This is a 6+ month fixed-term assignment Primarily remote. Occasional visits to the Quincy, MA headquarters if logically possible. Candidate must reside in New England.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Develop, implement, and maintain vendor management policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Support indirect sourcing teams in evaluating vendor capabilities, service levels, and commercial terms.
  • Monitor day‑to‑day vendor performance against contractual obligations, KPIs, and SLAs.
  • Lead vendor evaluations, scorecards, and assessment activities to ensure quality, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery.
  • Build and maintain strong vendor partnerships, serving as a primary point of contact.
  • Identify and elevate operational issues, risks, or performance concerns.
  • Coordinate cross‑functionally with Procurement, Finance, Operations, and other business units to ensure streamlined vendor engagement.
  • Maintain accurate, up‑to‑date records of vendor agreements, certifications, and compliance documentation.
  • Advise Indirect Sourcing to ensure preventive maintenance programs and SLAs are included in contracts.
  • Support smooth vendor transitions, renewals, and offboarding processes.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement efforts within the vendor management program.
  • Perform additional duties as required to meet business needs and uphold company values.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor’s degree, preferred.
  • Strong understanding of business operations, procurement, or vendor management best practices.
  • Experience managing budgets, schedules, and vendor relationships.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 Suite.
  • Experience with any of the following preferred but not required: Service Channel, VMDM, Coupa.
  • Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong leadership and cross‑functional coordination skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • High attention to detail with strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Process‑oriented mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
