Job description

  • Manage and maintain a contract renewal pipeline, proactively identifying upcoming renewals 3โ€“6 months in advance
  • Support the PR Council by preparing and presenting contract renewal packages, negotiation strategies, and vendor recommendations for executive review and approval
  • Drive cost savings and spend optimization by analyzing vendor contracts, identifying consolidation opportunities, and supporting negotiations
  • Maintain and continuously improve the vendor management Power BI dashboard, ensuring accurate, up-to-date visibility into vendor spend, renewal timelines, and performance metrics
  • Conduct AI-assisted contract reviews using the team's strategy playbook to surface key opportunities, SLA highlights, and negotiation insights ahead of renewal discussions
  • Collaborate with cross functional stakeholders to ensure vendor strategies align with business goals and organizational priorities
  • Lead the preparation of executive-level reporting and presentations for VP and Director stakeholders, translating vendor data into actionable insights
  • Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of vendor management policies, playbooks, and standard operating procedures
  • Serve as a point of escalation for vendor disputes, invoice discrepancies, and service delivery issues, coordinating resolution across internal teams and vendors
Requirements
  • Post-secondary education in Business, Finance & Accounting, or Information Technology โ€“ is required
  • Minimum 3-years experience in vendor management, strategic sourcing, or IT expense management โ€“ is required
  • Advanced proficiency level: Excel, and Oracle ERP โ€“ is required
  • Knowledge in IT accounting and reporting framework and Power BI experience an asset
  • Experience supporting executive governance forums or preparing materials for senior leadership review
  • Strong commercial acumen with a track record of identifying and delivering cost savings
  • Familiarity with contract management principles, SLA frameworks, and negotiation strategies
  • Experience with or strong interest in AI-powered tools for contract analysis and reporting
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • For candidates located in Quebec, bilingualism is required considering the necessity to interact on a regular basis with English-speaking colleagues across the country
  • Candidates must be eligible to work in Canada from the anticipated start date and throughout their employment
