Job description

GENERAL CLERK 1 - GENERAL CLERK 2 - Administrative Receptionist/Clerical 11-00942 Who We Are: We are R&D problem-solvers providing independent, premier services to government and industry clients; since 1947 we work toward the betterment of humankind, pushing the boundaries of science and technology to develop solutions. By joining our team you will receive an additional $500.00 in your first paycheck, minus applicable taxes. Objectives of this Role: Greet incoming visitors/clients, follow division visitor sign in policy.

Contact division personnel by multiple communication methods to announce arrival of their visitor/client. Assist staff with daily clerical routine tasks to include basic form processing requests, restocking vending machines, restocking office supplies, and maintain coffee equipment. Assist with division events and client visits to include lunch ordering, meeting set-up/breakdown.

Communicate effectively in various methods (email, telephone, face-to-face), strong attention to detail, able to work independently and in a team environment. Function as a contributing member of the team and provide excellent customer service while maintaining a strong sense of urgency. Daily and Monthly Responsibilities: Utilize Microsoft Outlook to schedule meetings for staff and for daily correspondence to satisfy tasking.

Assist with scanning records, answer internal support line, relay telephone messages as required. Restock and maintain lobby vending machine, coffee station and office supplies. Process reimbursements requests and invoices for payments to vendors.

Any additional duties as assigned by Manager and Division management. Requirements: Requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Related administrative/clerical certifications or training is beneficial.

1-2 years: Familiarity with general office procedures; use of office equipment such as reproduction equipment, & telephone systems. Understanding of business office functions: use of common word processing, database, and spreadsheet software use of correct grammar, spelling & punctuation rules. Must possess basic organizational skills, work well with others, dependable, self-motivated.

Existing security clearance preferred but not required; must be able to obtain a security clearance. A valid/clear driver's license is required. Special Requirements: Applicant selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
