Job description


  • Perform custodial duties for the building.
  • Vacuuming, sweeping, cleaning and mopping floors, stairs, hallways, and walls.
  • Maintain cleanliness of the common areas of the building. This includes keeping floors clean and scrubbed and replacing and repainting floor tape lines.
  • Clean and sanitize water coolers, vending machines, PPE machines, televisions, rails, production equipment and other shared items in the building.
  • Restock the supplies in restrooms, locker room and cafeteria if necessary.
  • Empty trash cans and replace liners. Clean receptacles as needed. Ensure trash is recycled and put in correct bins.
  • Clean windowsills, windows, doors, hallways, walkways, walls, machines and equipment. May remove stains from surfaces, such as walls and floors.
  • Perform general maintenance tasks and upkeep of grounds. Tasks include shoveling/salting walkways and parking lots, cleaning and picking up trash on property, painting of walls, columns, doors and other structures and changing lightbulbs, cleaning blinds, windows, doors, etc.
  • Light plumbing tasks such as fixing leaks and performing toilet maintenance.
  • Collect and dispose of wood waste. Keep and maintain wood storage area clean and orderly.
  • Maintain janitorial equipment in a clean, safe, and operable condition.
  • Inform management if need cleaning supplies and equipment or if repairs of equipment are needed.
  • Ensure proper labeling of all chemicals.
  • Ensure tasks are performed according to organizational requirements for quality management and environmental, health and safety standards, policies and procedures.
  • Complete other duties as assigned.
  • Utilizes forklifts, hand trucks, hoists, overhead cranes and other equipment to move materials within the facility.
