Job description

Vendavo Pricing Administrator
We are seeking a skilled Vendavo System Administrator to own the configuration, operational health, and user management of our Vendavo Commercial Excellence platform. In this role, you will partner with Sales, Finance, and IT to deploy pricing logic, maintain data integrations, and troubleshoot system bottlenecks.

This role will directly prevent margin leakage and help streamline our end-to-end quoting workflows.

Platform Configuration

  • Sets up and manages pricing data, price lists, policies, and matrix workflows within the Vendavo environment
  • Configures and maintains Vendavo modules including Pricepoint, Deal Price Optimizer, Intelligent CPQ, and Vendavo Rebate Manager
  • Updates price waterfall mechanics, deal guidance parameters, and rebate/incentive program rules based on incoming business requirements
  • Manages user provisioning, role-based access controls and system security settings

System Maintenance & Upgrade Governance

  • Monitors day-to-day platform operations and troubleshoots functional errors, performance bottlenecks, and data anomalies
  • Partners with enterprise IT to plan, test, and execute software patches, system upgrades, and cloud migrations
  • Performs regular system health checks and coordinates with Vendavo support on issue resolution
  • Maintains system documentation including configuration guides, change logs, and standard operating procedures

Data Integration

  • Oversees automated data pipelines flowing between Vendavo and peripheral corporate systems including, but not limited to: ERP (SAP, Oracle), CRM (Salesforce), and Field Service Management (ServiceMax)
  • Ensures data integrity across pricing master data including pricing lists, cost inputs, margin floors, and customer-specific agreements
  • Manages and validates data formats (XML, JSON, CSV) and API connection management between integrated platforms
  • Supports pricing data migration, cleansing, and validation activities during system upgrades or business changes
  • Utilizes working knowledge of MuleSoft or equivalent integration platforms to orchestrate data flows between enterprise systems

User Support & Training

  • Serves as the Tier-1 support desk for Sales and Pricing teams – triaging, resolving, and escalating Vendavo-related technical issues with full documentation
  • Acts as liaison between end users and the Pricing team by identifying and routing business strategy questions (e.g., pricing rules, margin decisions) separately from technical support requests, reducing response delays and ensuring each ticket gets a proper response
  • Designs and maintains technical documentation and training materials for end users
  • Facilitates user acceptance testing (UAT) for system changes and new feature deployments
  • Translates business pricing requirements into system configurations and workflow enhancements

Continuous Improvement & Governance

  • Identifies opportunities to improve system utilization, reporting capabilities, and process optimization within Vendavo
  • Participates in Vendavo release planning and evaluates new features for applicability to Arcwood’s pricing strategy
  • Maintains compliance with internal IT governance standards, change management processes, and audit requirements
