Job description

Job Description:
West Coast Ambulance is seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Vehicle Service Technician. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that all ambulances, equipment, and supplies are well-maintained, fully stocked, and ready for service, meeting county regulations and operational requirements. The Vehicle Service Technician plays a critical part in maintaining vehicle standards to ensure that EMT, gurney driver crews can operate efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Clean and wash ambulances, both interior and exterior
  • Stock ambulances with medical supplies and equipment
  • Inspect and maintain medical equipment, ensuring proper function
  • Maintain and clean gurneys, CCT, and Bariatric equipment
  • Organize and ensure cleanliness and efficiency of the stockroom, including medical and office supplies
  • Perform light maintenance, such as replacing bulbs and conducting tire and fluid checks
  • Refuel ambulances and monitor fuel levels
  • Conduct vehicle checkout procedures and ensure compliance with CHP standards
  • Coordinate ambulance maintenance when necessary
  • Assist Operations with various tasks and errands as needed
  • Communicate proactively with the Fleet Manager regarding ambulance and equipment status
  • Coordinate with the Dispatch Center to ensure ambulances and crews are service-ready
  • Adhere to all relevant county guidelines
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management
