Summary

Maverick is seeking an Electric Vehicle Construction Project Manager ("PM") to lead the planning and execution of EV charging infrastructure projects across New York and New England. Based in New York this PM will travel to project sites throughout the region as needed. Successful candidates should be able to oversee multiple EV charging construction projects of varying scope — from site design coordination through energization — including the associated electrical and electrical utility construction work required to bring sites online.

Responsibilities

  • Manage EV charging infrastructure construction projects for new site builds and modifications to existing facilities, including associated electrical and electrical utility construction and utility make-ready work.
  • Foster and maintain customer relationships; manage budgets, project schedules and timelines, goals, internal staff, and external vendors in accordance with existing contract terms and conditions.
  • Accountable for achieving project milestones and revenue targets while mitigating risk exposure for assigned EV charging projects.
  • Manage cross-functional teams of professional and technical resources, construction managers, directly employed crews, and subcontractors through numerous project milestones through completion, in compliance with company, client, and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage all project activities including coordination with architectural and engineering services, utility interconnection and permitting, internal pre-deployment meetings, client meetings, scope, deliverables, and material ordering.
  • Interpret contract documents, communicate scope of work to the project team, and develop schedule and budget forecasts.
  • Ensure timely and accurate invoicing and monitor receivables for assigned projects.
  • Travel regularly to EV charging project sites across New York State and New England, coordinating on-site with crews, utilities, and clients.
  • Perform all other tasks as assigned by management.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree and/or strong construction/electrical utility background.
  • 3+ years of construction, electrical utility, and/or EV charging infrastructure experience.
  • 3+ years of Project Management experience; experience managing EV charging, electrical, or electrical utility construction projects strongly preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work outdoors in inclement weather.
  • Successful completion of pre-employment drug & alcohol and background check requirements.
