Within CSG, the Human Exploration and Spaceflight (HESF) Division provides comprehensive support to NASA across all human spaceflight operations and program office activities. We are seeking a Milestone Review Specialist for Artemis Host Vehicles (Project Engineer- Technical Project Management) at the Johnson Space Center. The HESF Division comprises a team of specialized engineers who deliver technical and acquisition expertise, providing critical recommendations to NASA's human spaceflight and space technology enterprise. Our mission is to enable mission success across an extensive portfolio spanning space, ground, and user segments.

The selected candidate will be required to work full-time, on-site at the Johnson Space Center in Houston, TX

What You'll Be Doing

  • Evaluate Artemis vehicle milestone technical documentation and assess xEVA Systems integration impacts on vehicle architecture, interfaces, and operational requirements
  • Coordinate with EVA Development Project Office engineering leads to conduct technical reviews aligned with vehicle project/program/provider requirements and NASA procedural standards
  • Manage IT resources and collaboration platforms with vehicle project Review Coordinators to support distributed technical review teams
  • Develop and maintain Responsible, Accountable, Consulted, informed (RACI) matrices for EVA Development stakeholders, ensuring clear technical authority and accountability across multi-organizational review processes
  • Configure and manage review assignments in Configuration Management Workflow (CMW) tool, routing xEVA technical content to appropriate Design Engineering (DE) disciplines and subject-matter experts
  • Maintain standardized comment disposition templates ensuring consistent technical issue tracking and resolution across review cycles
  • Synthesize technical review feedback into executive out briefs for vehicle milestone reviews (SRR/PDR/CDR/SAR), highlighting critical issues and risk mitigation strategies
  • Develop and maintain integrated master schedules tracking Artemis vehicle milestones and xEVA system delivery dependencies

What You Need to be Successful- Project Engineer- Technical Project Management

Minimum Requirements for:

  • A bachelor's degree in business/engineering/science or another applicable STEM area
  • At least 6+ years of progressive technical leadership experience in systems engineering, human spaceflight operations, hardware, or related disciplines
  • Experience supporting NASA Extravehicular Activity (EVA) programs, including hardware design, operational planning, safety protocols, or mission support activities
  • Experience supporting NASA program milestone reviews (e.g., SRR, PDR, CDR, SAR), including preparing technical documentation, coordinating review materials, and presenting to stakeholders
  • Excellent verbal communication skills with ability to present complex technical information clearly and concisely to diverse audiences including executive leadership, engineering teams, and external stakeholders; demonstrated success building consensus across multidisciplinary teams and organizations; polished, professional presentation style
  • Excellent written communication skills with ability to organize complex technical materials, engineering analyses, and programmatic concepts into clear, logical documentation including technical reports, requirements documents, presentations, and executive briefings
  • Demonstrated leadership skills including team building, conflict resolution, and stakeholder relationship management across diverse groups such as suppliers, test facilities, cross-functional internal teams, and external partners
  • Willingness to travel domestically approximately 10%
  • This position may require the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance, which is issued by the U.S. government. U.S. citizenship is required to obtain a security clearance.
