Position Overview

Waldoch is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead daily manufacturing operations across multiple production lines and support functions.


This role serves as the senior operational leader responsible for ensuring production schedules, quality standards, safety initiatives, labor efficiency, and customer commitments are achieved. The Operations Manager will oversee production leadership teams while partnering closely with Engineering, Supply Chain, Production Planning, and Quality to ensure on-time delivery of customer orders.


The ideal candidate combines strong manufacturing leadership experience with the technical credibility needed to effectively lead production teams and solve operational challenges in a highly customized vehicle manufacturing environment.


What You'll Do

  • Lead daily operations across multiple production lines and manufacturing support functions
  • Manage and develop production supervisors, lead technicians, and manufacturing team leaders
  • Drive on-time delivery, quality, safety, and labor-efficiency performance
  • Coordinate production schedules and resource allocation to meet customer commitments
  • Partner with Engineering, Production Planning, Quality, and Supply Chain teams to ensure smooth production flow
  • Identify operational bottlenecks and proactively implement solutions
  • Monitor KPIs, labor performance, and production metrics to drive continuous improvement
  • Ensure production teams follow established safety standards and best practices
  • Support inventory availability and production readiness through effective cross-functional communication
  • Lead employee coaching, performance management, and team development initiatives
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and operational excellence

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of leadership experience in a manufacturing, production, or operations environment
  • Proven ability to manage an organization of 25-30 individuals
  • Proven experience leading supervisors, leads, technicians, or hourly production teams
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, production scheduling, operational planning, and KPI management
  • Demonstrated success driving productivity, quality, safety, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Ability to make critical decisions in fast-paced manufacturing environments
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and team-building skills
  • Experience managing competing priorities while maintaining production commitments


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in automotive manufacturing, vehicle upfitting, specialty vehicle manufacturing, truck manufacturing, RV/camper manufacturing, powersports, heavy equipment, or similar technical manufacturing environments
  • Background leading manufacturing operations involving customized or build-to-order products
  • Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Kaizen, OSHA, or related operational excellence training/certifications
  • Experience partnering closely with Engineering, Supply Chain, or Production Planning teams
  • Technical or mechanical background with the ability to effectively support and lead production teams
