Description:
The understanding of Finished Vehicle Logistics Process flow as complete vehicles is delivered from production. This will include delivery, staging, haul away process, audits, load planning, and special vehicle process. Finished Vehicle Logistics Digitization for Future Planning Projects (creation of automated dashboard for yard operations), Process Visualization and improvements.
The qualified intern/Co-op should expect to contribute & improve in the following functions:
  • Understanding of process handling all inbound and outbound finished vehicle logistics processes
  • Interacts with Finished Vehicle Team to understand Quality and Audit standards for all Finished Vehicle Logistics Process
  • Works within the Finished Vehicle team to understand all aspects of the department and serve as backup to any team member.
  • Understanding of how to handle damages and communicates with all involved in the process (Communication Skills are preferred).
  • Develop Network to communicate with Outside Vendors on Finished Vehicle Logistics Process
  • Create/Improve/Maintain Daily Distribution Reporting for all processes.
  • Understands and models VPS (Value Added Production System) Principles and concepts of Standard Work and Problem Solving.
  • Adheres to 5S and Safety Standards and Principles
  • Drives the Target setting function using group objectives and the department's key processes, guides the formulation of key performance indicators, steers the application of the IMS/MPM and the execution of improvement items and tracking.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by management
  • Creation of Automated Dashboard for Finished Vehicle Logistics Yard Operations
  • Creation/Improvements of process Visualization for Finished Vehicle Logistics

Qualifications:
  • Pursuing a BA/BS degree.
  • Communication skills both verbal and written.
  • Problem solving, organizational and prioritizing skills.
  • Computer skills to include Microsoft Office, Excel, and PowerPoint, Power Automate, Apex Dashboards, Power BI
  • Software Programming/Coding (Python, C++, etc.)
  • Related business experience.
  • Possess a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 (not just in major).
  • Have enrolled student status at an accredited four-year college or university in the United States.
  • Completed at least 30 credit hours at time of application.
  • Ability to work full-time on-site (40 hours/week).
  • Transfer students must have a GPA from current University.
  • MUST ATTACH A COPY OF UNOFFICIAL TRANSCRIPT.
  • Complete and pass a substance abuse test before the work term.
  • THE WORK TERM DATES ARE August 10th - December 11th, 2026.
