Job description

Position SummaryThe Impound Lot Attendant is responsible for assisting all administrative and customerโ€‘service functions related to impounded vehicles. This includes processing vehicle releases, maintaining accurate records, collecting payments, ensuring compliance with company, state, and municipal regulations. The Impound Attendant serves as the primary point of contact for customers retrieving vehicles and plays a key role in maintaining an organized, secure impound operation.Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Receive, inspect, and log vehicles entering the impound lot
  • Accurately record vehicle information, condition, and inventory of contents
  • Safely move and park vehicles within the lot
  • Maintain organized and secure storage of all impounded vehicles
  • Greet customers and assist with vehicle release procedures in a professional manner.
  • Answer phones, respond to inquiries, and provide general support.
  • Communicate with law enforcement, towing companies, and internal staff
  • Monitor lot security and report any suspicious activity or damage
  • Perform routine lot maintenance, including cleanliness and hazard removal
  • Complete required paperwork and maintain accurate digital or manual records
  • Follow all safety protocols and company procedures
Qualifications

  • Ability to understand and apply state and local impound regulations.

Physical Requirements:
  • Sit or stand for extended periods (up to 8โ€“10 hours depending on shift).

  • Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
