Job description

The Virginia Economic Development Partnership (VEDP) is seeking an experienced Learning & Development Coordinator to support the planning, coordination, delivery, and continuous improvement of internal development initiatives that build organizational capability and support VEDP’s strategic goals.

This role focuses on ensuring learning programs are well organized, effectively communicated, and operationally sound, while also contributing to learning design and facilitation. The Coordinator plays a key role in executing development programs including the intern program, core professional learning, and leadership development while building capability in instructional design, facilitation, and program evaluation.

Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate logistics, schedules, calendars, materials, and communications
  • Maintain a comprehensive training calendar and ensure timely communication to employees
  • Prepare training materials, agendas, handouts, and digital resources
  • Coordinate planning and execution of the intern program, including onboarding sessions, learning experiences, cohort activities, and program closeout
  • Track participation, attendance, and feedback related to intern learning experiences
  • Support development of training materials, activities, and resources
  • Track participation, completion, and evaluation data for learning programs
  • Support analysis of feedback and outcomes to inform improvements of learning activities and programs
  • Maintain program documentation and learning assets

Skills:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational and project coordination abilities
  • Knowledge of instructional design concepts and adult learning principles
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating with team members
  • Ability to manage multiple initiatives with accountability, autonomy, and attention to deadlines
  • Resourceful and comfortable working with evolving or incomplete information

Experience:

  • At least 2 years’ experience coordinating learning, training, or development programs
