Job Description
Client is looking for an Access and JavaScript developer with 7+ years of experience in business analysis, requirements gathering, and MS Access and scripting development. This role will work closely with the Finance organization supporting and enhancing applications used by multiple accounting and financial functions.
Job Specific Responsibilities
Gathers information from finance colleagues, determines impact to current solutions, prepares documentation and executes changes.
Documents current applications, including identifying upstream and downstream interfaces
Enhances and modifies applications to meet changing business needs and drive efficiency
Addresses and resolves production support problems. Develops and suggests alternative approaches to problem resolution.
Writes specifications for programs moderate complexity
Develops test plans to verify logic of new or modified programs. Identifies issues as appropriate.
Candidate Requirements
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Access 2010
Developing Access applications including data modelling, and creation of tables, queries, forms and reports.
Experience with Access and Excel VBA programming
Experience with a scripting language such as Python or PERL
Experience with JavaScript
Effective in engaging business SMEs to understand their needs and translate them into functional applications
Proven ability and experience creating functional and technical documentation
Proficient in medium complexity SQL Queries
Proficiency in testing his/her own work before delivering product to end-users for acceptance testing
Strong quantitative and analytic abilities
Knowledge of accounting and other financial processes a strong plus
