Job description
BluePrint and Origin Engines, a leading company in Kearney, NE, is seeking a detail-oriented Calibration Engineer to join our team. We specialize in the development of new products for spark ignition engines, emissions development, and engine management calibration. Our company prides itself on providing a clean, air-conditioned, and heated facility, as well as a fun and flexible working environment with great benefits and opportunities for advancement.
Responsibilities- Develop and calibrate spark ignition engines for gasoline, natural gas, and propane
- Conduct EPA/CARB certification testing
- Perform mobile, stationary, and on-road engine testing
- Execute high-performance engine testing
- Calibrate engine management systems for new products
- Provide detailed test reporting
- Proficient engine calibration experience
- Experience and knowledge of internal combustion engines
- Experience using AVL or Kistler in-cylinder pressure transducers
- Data acquisition experience collecting and processing data
- Experience with using and maintaining emissions test equipment
- Ability to work hands-on with new product during development process
- Good teamwork skills and ability to work independently (preferred)
- A manufacturing environment may require heavy lifting and manual labor
- Clean, air conditioned and heated facility
- Flexible and family oriented
- 1st shift (standard 43-hour work week, automatic overtime built into each Friday)
- Monday – Thursday 7:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
- Friday 7:00 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.
Starting salary of $65,000 - $100,000 (DOE)
