Job description

BluePrint and Origin Engines, a leading company in Kearney, NE, is seeking a detail-oriented Calibration Engineer to join our team. We specialize in the development of new products for spark ignition engines, emissions development, and engine management calibration. Responsibilities
  • Develop and calibrate spark ignition engines for gasoline, natural gas, and propane
  • Conduct EPA/CARB certification testing
  • Perform mobile, stationary, and on-road engine testing
  • Execute high-performance engine testing
  • Calibrate engine management systems for new products
  • Provide detailed test reporting
Qualifications
  • Proficient engine calibration experience
  • Experience and knowledge of internal combustion engines
  • Experience using AVL or Kistler in-cylinder pressure transducers
  • Data acquisition experience collecting and processing data
  • Experience with using and maintaining emissions test equipment
  • Ability to work hands-on with new product during development process
  • Good teamwork skills and ability to work independently (preferred)
Work Environment
  •          A manufacturing environment may require heavy lifting and manual labor
  •          Clean, air conditioned and heated facility
  •          Flexible and family oriented
Hours
  • 1st shift (standard 43-hour work week, automatic overtime built into each Friday)
  •  Monday – Thursday 7:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
  •  Friday 7:00 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.
Compensation
  • Starting salary of $65,000 - $100,000 (DOE)
