Summary:

We are currently seeking a Software Developer, Mobile to join our rapidly growing engineering team. This role is for someone who is passionate about building innovative solutions and being exposed to new challenges and technologies while making an impact. This role is only available to candidates local to our Burnaby, Calgary, or Toronto office hubs. You will be expected to be in office minimum twice per week on one of our Anchor Days.

To enable our engineers to build the best product they can, our development team has to build the best possible product that is performant, reliable, scalable, and beautiful.

A day in the life might look like:
  • Work with a team of developers to solve complex problems and provide elegant solutions to Clio customers

  • Work in an agile environment with our team of full stack developers across a variety of projects

  • Using a wide variety of technologies, learning new things, and challenging yourself

  • Participating in diverse projects and collaborating with multiple engineering teams across three countries

  • Review and provide feedback on a peer's code, both from within your own team or across all of Clio

What you may have:
  • Experience in software development, specifically with building mobile and web applications at scale with a variety of coding languages and frameworks, such as React Native, Swift, Kotlin/Java, Typescript/Javascript, and Ruby on Rails

  • The ability to learn new technologies quickly and work effectively in an ever-evolving environment that includes distributed teams and customers

  • Demonstrated success in mentorship in software development, particularly using an Agile process and with large scale SaaS products

  • Database optimization experience

  • Experience working with large-scale systems

  • A diverse base of knowledge that allows you to help your team solve complex technical problems

  • A history of successful projects (as well as a collection of lessons learned from failed projects)

  • Clear communication skills and the ability to build trusted relationships with fellow Clions and customers

  • Growth mindset when it comes to process improvement and new technologies, especially AI.

The expected salary range* for this role is $110,200 to $129,600 to $149,000 CAD. There are a separate set of salary bands for other regions based on local currency.


*Our salary bands are designed to reflect the range of skills and experience needed for the position and to allow room for growth at Clio. For experienced individuals, we typically hire at or around the midpoint of the band. The top portion of the salary band is reserved for employees who demonstrate sustained high performance and impact at Clio. Those who are new to the role may join below the midpoint and develop their skills over time. The final offer amount for this role will be dependent on geographical region, applicable experience, and skillset of the candidate.
