Job description

The Senior Compensation Analyst supports the design and administration of key compensation programs including base compensation, variable compensation, market pricing, and job architecture. This employee-facing role ensures effective day-to-day compensation operations, accurate data management, and compliance with relevant policies and regulations.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Analyze internal and external compensation data to ensure competitive and equitable pay practices.

  • Participate in compensation surveys and benchmark jobs against market data.

  • Support the development and maintenance of salary structures, pay ranges, and incentive programs.

  • Conduct job evaluations and partner with HR and business leaders on job leveling and pay decisions.

  • Assist with the annual compensation planning process, including merit increases, bonuses, and promotions.

  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local compensation regulations (e.g., FLSA, pay transparency laws).

  • Prepare reports, dashboards, and presentations for leadership on compensation trends and recommendations.

  • Audit compensation data for accuracy and consistency across systems.

  • Support pay equity analyses and recommend corrective actions as needed.

  • Collaborate with HRIS, Finance, and Talent teams on compensation-related initiatives.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelors degree or equivalent professional experience.

  • 6-8+ years of compensation experience.

  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills with proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, formulas, data modeling).

  • Experience with compensation surveys.

  • Knowledge of compensation principles and applicable labor laws.

  • Ability to communicate complex information clearly to stakeholders.

  • Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and follow-through.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Physical requirements that are essential to the job.

  • Lifting: Occasional lifting of materials up to 15 lbs (e.g., files, office supplies).

  • Mobility: Primarily a sedentary role with occasional walking within the office environment.

  • Working Conditions: This position is primarily hybrid (onsite and remote), performed in a standard office setting. No exposure to extreme temperatures or loud environments.
