Job Description:
Under the direction of the Supervisor of Vanpool Services, the Vanpool Service Representative is responsible for managing Vanpool programs in compliance with Pace policies and procedures and Federal Transit Administration (FTA) and Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations. Vanpool Services Representative is a safety-sensitive position that manages multiple Vanpool projects and serves a resource to Vanpool customers in the six (6) county Regional Transportation Authority (RTA) region:
  1. Acting as primary Pace contact for Vanpool drivers, riders, and various agencies, organizations, and vendors.
  2. Providing assistance on all aspects of the Pace vanpool program and delivering personalized service to assigned vanpools.
  3. Teach/conduct Vanpool Driver Training Class covering VIP operation and administrative procedures.
  4. Overseeing vanpool group formations, driver approval process, and van deliveries.
  5. Processes vanpool driver and participant applications and other vanpool-related forms.
  6. Preparing various reports and collecting and tracking information pertaining to program operation.
  7. Performing other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Education:
Must have an Associate's degree in Business Administration or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience. Bachelor's degree preferred.
Experience:
Must have at minimum, three (3) years of highly responsible customer service experience or equivalency. Must have experience in conducting training or presentations, project management and interpersonal/group dynamics.
Certifications:
Must have a valid Illinois, Wisconsin or Indiana Driver's License with a good driving record.
Must be able to obtain Vanpool Driver Training Certificate and Reasonable Suspicion Training Certificate within 60 days of employment.
Proficiencies:
Must have intermediate level proficiency in the use of computer software, specifically with Microsoft Office Suite applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, SharePoint, and PowerPoint), and Adobe.
Experience with Oracle and Apex preferred.
Must demonstrate excellent reading comprehension and verbal and written communication skills; effective customer service, public speaking, and interpersonal skills; problem solving, analytical and critical thinking skills.
In addition, attention to detail, strong math and organization skills, the ability to maintain confidentiality, prioritize while multi-tasking, and the ability to meet deadlines while working in a dynamic environment is required.
Must be capable of working both independently and collaboratively with other team members.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to sit for extended periods, lift, carry, push, and lift objects weighing up to 25 pounds.
Working Conditions:
Work is primarily performed in an office environment. Travel may be required to Pace project sites within the six-county RTA region, and as needed be able to travel outside of the RTA region for audit, training, or other purposes. Work is sometimes performed in an outdoor environment where you will be required to inspect and operate vehicles in extreme weather. Must be open to work schedule changes as necessary to meet organizational needs.
This is a safety-sensitive position, subject to random drug and alcohol testing.
This position is eligible for a hybrid work schedule after successful completion of 6-month job introduction period.

Full Salary Range: $50.467-110,273
Salary Midpoint: $80,370
Anticipated Starting: $65,418-80,370
