Job description

POSITION SUMMARY

The Director of Business Development is responsible for outbound prospecting and pipeline development for Part 135 aircraft management growth. This role identifies, researches, and qualifies aircraft owners and strategic intermediaries, builds relationships, and schedules high-value executive meetings for the President and CEO. The role advances qualified opportunities through structured CRM management and hands off late-stage negotiations to executive leadership.

This is a hunter role. Managed aircraft growth and client retention focused.

This is a Miami/Fort Lauderdale-market role, one of the company's highest-priority growth markets alongside our existing presence in Teterboro and Van Nuys. The right candidate is deeply networked among the region's wealth: international and domestic finance principals, banking and private equity executives, real estate developers, yachting and marine industry owners, hospitality and nightlife operators, and Latin American and other international high-net-worth families with a presence in South Florida. Critically, this candidate must be skilled at identifying Part 91 aircraft owners who are open to - or already exploring - charter capability on their aircraft, and converting that interest into managed aircraft relationships; our private jet advisor network already drives significant retail charter demand in this market, making it fertile ground for owner conversion. Part 135 experience is non-negotiable; you need to speak the aircraft language fluently, credibly, and from day one.
Outbound Prospecting & Research:
  • Identify aircraft owners aligned with Silver Air's management model.
  • Research tail numbers, ownership entities, operating patterns, and management history.
  • Target Part 91 operators suitable for Part 135 conversion.
  • Build contact networks through brokers, OEM reps, attorneys, CPAs, and family offices.
  • Maintain disciplined outbound cadence (email, phone, LinkedIn, industry events).
CRM & Pipeline Discipline (HubSpot):
  • Maintain accurate lead tracking in HubSpot.
  • Track "Zones" progression (Prospect Discovery Proposal Contract).
  • Report weekly pipeline value and meeting metrics.
  • Ensure clean data and follow-up cadence.
Executive Meeting Generation:
  • Qualify prospects before President/CEO engagement.
  • Prepare executive briefing summaries for leadership prior to meetings.
  • Schedule and coordinate strategic meetings.
  • Advance post-meeting follow-up actions.
Market Intelligence:
  • Monitor competitor management companies.
  • Track fleet movements, aircraft transactions, and brokerage listings.
  • Identify aircraft for sale that could transition to Silver Air management.
  • Provide strategic intelligence to leadership.
  • 3-7+ years in aircraft sales, aircraft management, or aircraft busi ness development.
  • Understanding of Part 91 and Part 135 operations preferred.
  • Strong outbound sales discipline.
  • Comfortable engaging UHNW individuals and intermediaries.
  • Experience using CRM systems (HubSpot preferred).
  • Strong research capability and attention to detail.
  • Professional executive presence.
Base Salary:
  • Director Level: $100K-$150K
Commission Structure Options:
Tiered Bonus:
  • Bonus per aircraft successfully added to fleet
  • Additional bonus structured by manager
  • 50k to 100k per year
What This Role Is NOT:
  • Not onboarding management.
  • Not leaseback statement review.
  • Not owner lifecycle management.
  • Not operational fleet oversight.
Silver Air operates on four core values: Drive, Ownership, Respect, and Discipline. We are direct, accountable, and performance-oriented. Safety and service are non-negotiable.
Our benefits are always evolving, though here's a peak into your perks:
  • Unlimited PTO for full-time Team Members
  • Fully paid health insurance coverage for you and your family (full-time Team Members)
  • Generous personal development and employee assistance programs
  • Top-of-the-line equipment (Apple, Microsoft, Dell, Lenovo, etc.)
  • Flexible leadership team
  • You have the flexibility to make your own hours while earning commissions.
  • Pet insurance
  • 401k/Roth with a 5% match on day one of hire.
  • HSA, FSA, and dependent care savings accounts
