You remove roadblocks, escalate issues when needed, and keep leadership updated on key developments. Throughout the day, you coordinate with Maintenance, HR, Quality, and Engineering, fine-tune schedules and overtime across shifts, and ensure team members are trained and current in Master Control. You are the go-to expert for product and process knowledge in your department or Value Stream.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Lead and develop all production team members within the department/Value Stream; set expectations and drive accountability across all shifts, including off-shift supervision for production, staffing, and quality needs.
  • Own timekeeping, attendance, and disciplinary documentation for direct reports, maintaining accurate and timely records.
  • Ensure every team member is trained and up to date on assigned tasks within Master Control.
  • Ensure day-to-day compliance with Avalign and FDA quality system requirements and Good Manufacturing Practices.
  • Act as the primary source of product and process expertise for the department/Value Stream.
  • Serve as the central point of contact with Maintenance, HR, Quality, and Engineering.
  • Maintain steady product flow through the manufacturing cell to hit established lead-times.
  • Lead the daily production review walk; drive corrective actions and escalate when necessary.
  • Keep management informed of significant operational developments.
  • Build and execute production plans across shifts; determine and communicate overtime needs.
  • Create and manage cross-training plans using a training matrix to balance skills across all shifts.
  • Identify key constraints, staff to plan, and continuously rebalance resources.
  • Recruit, develop, promote, and when necessary, administer discipline for hourly team members.
  • Own performance management for hourly team members, including preparing and delivering annual reviews.
  • Perform spot quality checks, 5S audits, and Layered Process Audits.
  • Initiate and lead continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication; exceptional public speaking.
  • Exceptional computer proficiency; organized, detail-oriented, professional presence.
  • Dependable, team-oriented, and highly motivated.
